The very knowledgeable driver Mr Sufian picked us up from our hotel on time and gave us loads of info and stats about KL along the route to the sanctuary, which took about 1hr from KL. He also took us to the Batu Caves beforehand where we saw the tallest statue of an Indian god and the temples in the caves. Mr Sufian told us and showed us latex trees, coton trees and the best rice cooked in banboo sticks.Then it was onto the elephant sanctuary itself which was very well organised and time spent with the elephants was at least a couple of hours. The sanctuary on the day we visited was quite crowded but we still managed to ride on an elephant play with them and fed them. Overall a very worthwhile day out and highly recommended.
