It was a hot day in Rome and the distance we covered was significant - without the guidance, information and humor of our tour guide, David, I don't think we would have gotten nearly as much out of the experience/visit.

When we saw the line wrapped around the uphill street corner to enter the Vatican, we were so glad that we had chosen a tour. The tour was comprehensive and informative - we would never have gotten as much out of the visit without the explanations, insights and stories that were provided by our tour guide. I am not a religious person at all but visiting the Vatican was almost spiritual. It is immense, and dramatic, having someone to break it down into manageable pieces helped avoid feeling overwhelmed by it all.
