Nice day out & our tour operators were young men who did a wonderful job cooking our lunch. We bought a fresh coconut from a local and drunk the coconut milk. The monkeys were tame but not very friendly. One gentleman from our tour had his book taken by a monkey but it dropped it again, so be careful of any loose items.

What an experience. My only advice would be to do this tour during the week. We did this tour on a Saturday and shared the Elephant Sanctuary with lots of locals, which made for quite a busy day. If you do this tour you must do the river ride and wash with the elephant. It does not sound nice but it is very memorable. We did not get sick from the Malaysian river. It was actually quite clean.

On the way to the fireflies, our tour operator took us to see some tame monkeys. This was definitely the highlight of this tour. The fireflies were quite disappointing but the monkeys certainly made up for it. We had a great time. The drive out to the fireflies was close to 2 hours, so we got to see a lot of Malaysia - it's very nice. Dinner was nice as well.

Dinner was nice and relaxing and the view is great. We found the central night market in K.L to be quite intimidating but nevertheless we took the experience on board and had a great evening.

This was a long day. Our tour operator was very, very informative and was very passionate about Malaysia but a little bit of quite time away from our operator would have been nice. We went to the Batu Caves, which were amazing - there were monkeys there but they were feral and intimidating. Very funny and interesting though to watch them harass other tourists for their food.

I found the zoo to be just another zoo. Lovely but nothing special. We took the option to eat breakfast with the orangutans. It was an experience to be so close, however, it was a little disappointing to not have touched them seeing as you are so close.

We took the option for dinner. We ate at Yum Cha and it was delicious. The China Town Market was good, but the trishaw ride was a great experience.
