Neuschwanstein Castle Small Group Day Tour from Munich

My Review: This is not a tour as we think of them. You need the guide to get you to the right train in Munich, to change trains, and for the bus to the base of the hill. He also directed those of us who didn't want to climb the steep climb to a bus we paid additional for. However, we got no history or commentary from the tour guide. He dropped us at the castle door and all comments came from the state employee who led us through the castle. There is also a bus tour offered by Viator, and it might be a better choice for those who want more history, etc. The one thing that you need to know is that, even if you take the second bus, you will still have quite a climb to the castle door and about 1000 steep, circular steps. If you have knee, hip, or ankle problems, this is not the tour for you.

Barcelona Gothic Quarter Morning Walking Tour

My Review: Good tour. We got more history of the people who made the gargoyles and such than history of Catalunya and Barcelona, though. Every time we asked questions, he'd say it was political and he didn't get into that, even if it was a question about something in the 19th century.

Barcelona Modernism and Gaudi Walking Tour

My Review: Good tour for background, but you'll see only a few of the famous "Modernistas'" buildings. The guide stressed that there were many others than Gaudi, and most of the tour dwelt on things other than the buildings we see in pictures. At the end, when people asked how to get to specific buildings they'd read about, the guide did tell how to reach them.

Trastevere and Rome's Jewish Ghetto Half-Day Walking Tour

My Review: This just didn't come up to the quality of the other Rome walking tours we've booked, such as the Vatican tour or the Night Walking Tour. Maybe it was the guide, but people started dropping out about half way through, and we were all gone before the tour ended.

Milan Half-Day Sightseeing Tour with da Vinci's 'The Last Supper'

My Review: The half day tour gave us an excellent orientation of Milan, but the icing on the cake was a guaranteed ticket to see Da Vinci's Last Supper. The guide and explanations of the mural were magnificent!

Milan City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

My Review: This is the usual Hop On-Hop Off Bus tour, but be careful. There are two lines, A and B, one driver was not happy with the world for his first run and left us standing at the curb the other bus driver took us to where we could cross to the first bus. Additionally, several of the earphones did not work on one bus. Finally, the top of the upper deck was covered with plastic so the sun came in, but the breeze didn't help cool us down. Still worth it so we could easily get between the main sights in Milan.
