felt the walking trip was poorly constructed. 1 guide to about 15 people meant it was impossible for everyone to be close enough to hear what she had to say. In and out of the basilica in less then 10 mins with very little seen. The ONLY saviour of this trip is the grand canal cruise. Found this very informative and an absolute must.

The only way to travel for sure but maybe a bit pricey. We shared a boat with 10 others so when you consider 12 large cases 12 bits of hand luggage and 12 people, room was very scarce. Also for the price of about £70 per couple i thought it was not value for money. We stayed at a hotel on the grand canal and on our way back home we booked a taxi ourselves and much to my surprise we got change from £100. So basically for £30 more you can have your own boat and plenty of room. There are planty of water taxis available at the airport where better value can certainly be found.
