Enjoyable,but visit to mutant was limited to about 20 mins only after suffering thru an almost compulsory glass making demo upon arriving right on factory's door, enjoyed tour cello, a somewhat different, quieter experience with the best being Burano , our last stop, had 40-45 mins at each supposedly
Ferry was fairly average though, virtually all windows dirty, couldn't see out as a result, host tried hard,but in speaking about 3 different languages,it all became a bit difficult to understand, overall, a good experience, seeing the islands was why we were there after all
bus arrived about 20 mins late, no apology offerred by the tour leader;
Paco the leader was quite funny however, with a strong command of English;
the tour guide at allambra was very good, very informative, knew evreything there was to know I reckon, but you know what, he should have been given a maximum of 2 languages to work with rather than the 3 or4 that he had to contend with, it just slowed things down a tad,
also Paco kept those who chose to see the town independently,waiting for about 20 plus mins or so at Granada after his town tour, consequently the day became longer than it needed to be, still we enjoyed very much the walk around the village that ended up having a panoramic view of the Allambra from across the river; that was an unexpected highlight; since we wererunning behind time, we should have skipped the last roadside stop too, Paco did day at one stage that there would be no stop, just straight home, but we ended up having another half hour wait there, that was unnecessary I thought;
anyway take this as constructive criticism, the day was still good, but. . .
over all though, the main part of the day was well covered and the day whilst long was very rewarding
bus arrived late for us, no apologies and barely any room; good day , great place, Allambra, great guide at Allambra,an necessary stop on the way back , more for the bus driver and guide perhaps, only real criticism that it was too long a day and could've been shortened by the 1 hour stop on the way back;main guide though was a funny , pleasant guy
Excellent experience,well worth doing, very informative guide provided and professionally organised , plenty of free time also;
Compared to Moulin Rouge, this show was very disappointing, average dancing, average performances, a comedian who wasn't funny, unremarkable all round, if you're thinking of which of the two shows to visit, always choose Moulin Rouge, a really good show. The Lido was frankly a waste of time, if you've been to the Moulin Rouge already, then forgery the Lido!
