My Review: Having previously purchased the museum pass and weekly metro tix, I was very pleased with the value in our 6 day Paris Pass. We were able to use all components of the pass over the 6 days, including the river cruise and the 2 day on/off bus.

Venice Day Tour from Ljubljana

My Review: This tour was good value. The Murano glassblowing activity is not good value. The same items for sale in the showroom are for sale in close by shops for a quarter of the price. The lunch was adequate - a starter of pasta followed by pork and rosti potatoes, with ice cream and gelato for dessert. The drinks were 5 euros for a small can. The benefit of choosing this meal option was that is was already organised, efficiently served and a reasonable value for the price. The gondola ride was great value; I took heaps of fantastic photos. Our gondolier didn't sing, but did hum a bit.... The vaporetto ride back to the departure point was not worth the money. I would have preferred to spend more time exploring the city and shopping - as it was we had only 30 or 40 minutes between the gondola ride and having to queue for the vaporetto. In hindsight, I would have walked back to the departure point, as Venice is small and there are many signposts. All in all, an excellent day. We arrived back in Ljubljana around 10 pm.

My Review: There were too many people on this bus and we couldn't sit together, which impacted the level of personal enjoyment. The time spent in Mondsee was great, plus, seeing the church and having time for a coffee and cake was appreciated. The guide was very informative.

My Review: This is a good value for people that can get up early and are well organized. There's so much to see, just not enough time! Our afternoon tea was not such a great value, as we were charged for water, and for having cream on the cake. The traditional meal was fantastic, and we were treated as welcome guests with no additional charges for bread, water, or anything else.

Heidiland and Liechtenstein Tour from Zurich: Two Countries in One Day

My Review: Our tour guide was absolutely fantastic. She provided detailed information in amusing ways, had newspaper articles, photos, prints and more to pass around to provide more information. The real highlight for me personally were the Chagall windows in the church in Zurich. It was a fantastic value. If you can only do one tour, choose this. You see Zurich, the nearby villages, amazing mountains, and the Heidi farm.

My Review: Enjoyed the bus trip to Lucerne. The scenery is spectacular and is definitely worth it. Not sure about the folklore lunch - the food was adequate, tasty and served promptly, but there are numerous similar restaurants nearby where I would expect that competition ensures a similar quality. The folklore show was at times quite corny. We had about 3 hours in Lucerne afterwards for exploring alone. I do consider this trip to be good value for the money paid and the convenience of a full day's outing.
