Newgrange and Monasterboice Day Trip from Dublin
Dublin, Ireland
My Rating

Great tour with Brian as our guide. He sprinkled in Gaelic phases and little poems during the commentary. Newgrange was astounding and shouldn' t be missed. Very interesting to learn symbolism of carvings on ancient Celtic crosses at Monasterboice. Lunch lines at Newgrange cafeteria were long and slow resulting in a rushed, unfinished lunch. Perhaps the tour could get some kind of timed voucher to allow for better access to the lunch line. Overall a great day especially for those who love history and archeology.

Limerick, Cliffs of Moher, Burren and Galway Bay Rail Tour from Dublin
Dublin, Ireland
My Rating

The natural landscapes of Cliffs of Moher, the Burren and Galway Bay were amazing! It was great to do the rail/bus combo tour to get some local flavor. Bunratty Castle was interesting and the Folk Village was beautifully picturesque. The cliffs were spectacular even in the rain. The Burren and Galway Bay sites were great. Could have done without the Doolin pub lunch, packing a picnic lunch would have been better as the food was blah, and would have allowed more time at some of the attractions. We have taken many Viator tours over the years and have always had a exellent tour guides and thus we were so dissapointed to have "Dismal Dave" as our guide. He neglected to tell us sights until they had passed by, he talked endlessly about depressing economic conditions, how he doesn't recommend going to the top of the cliff pathway as it is just for "fanatics," and used the word "unfortunately" in almost every sentence. With another guide it would have been outstanding and I'd do it again.

Wild Wicklow Tour including Glendalough from Dublin
Dublin, Ireland
My Rating

By far the BEST tour ever. Everything was perfect! Our guide Stephen was fantastic--very knowlegable and super funny! I wish I could have a transcipt of the tour it was that great! It was all that was described and more. The spectacular views of the Wicklow hills and Glendolaugh were wonderful. Great pace to this tour, did not feel rushed. Everything was perfectly timed to allow for photo opps, and viewing sights on your own. Once you take this tour you will be spoiled--best tour of the trip by far! Highly recommend. Thank you Stephen!

Dublin City Hop-on Hop-off Tour
Dublin, Ireland
My Rating

A great was to get oriented to the city. We brought along our own earplugs and were glad we did as earplugs were not provided and it made listening to the taped commentary much easier. We got on the lower level as the top was full until the crowds emptied at Guinness Storehouse. Completed the rest of the tour on the top level which was great. Took it around to Guinness once again to allow for doing the entire tour on upper level. Great option to get on an off as you please for the entire day.

Skip the Line: Guinness Storehouse Entrance Ticket

Fun, albeit touristy, tour of the Guinness Storehouse. Best part for me was tasting the toasted barley. Now whenever I have Guiness I can "taste" the barley. The Gravity Bar offers spectacular views of the city. Very much fun and informative too. If you're in Dublin, this is one of the top 5 "must do" tours.
