This was a wonderful day, seeing amazing sights and the guides were well informed. However, the size of the group for the walking tour was far too big; all of the English speaking people from 2 or 3 coaches were put into the same group and one guide led about 40 people around the ruins of Pompeii. This meant that it was difficult for all in the group to keep up for the whole tour. Also, it was not advertised on Viator that the coach tour would include a visit to a cameo factory in Naples.
This was an excellent tour with a fantastic guide, Michaela. The tour started early, as soon as we arrived, the group was only 20, as advertised, everything was explained clearly and the guide ensured that we were escorted through the Vatican in an ordered and relaxed way, despite the summer crowds.
Seeing the Last Supper was amazing but as we were left behind at the Duomo at the beginning of the tour, we missed everything else. The tour company wanted to charge 10 Euros each to do the walking part we missed the next day. The only saving grace was that we did manage to catch up with the tour in time for the Last Supper viewing
We really enjoyed the concert. Picking up the tickets was easy and we had great seats.
