Neuschwanstein Castle Small Group Day Tour from Munich

Munich, Germany

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
Worth seeing, but this is not a "guided tour." The tour guides get you on the train and then the bus, but then when you get there you are on your own till your 15 minute tour inside the castle, in which the castle tour guides take you inside. Plus you are only at the castle and its surroundings for no more than 2 hours. The scenery is beautiful, as well as the castle itself. If you do plan on walking up to the castle, as opposed to taking the bus for a small fee, make sure you wear walking shoes, as this is a very steep 25 minute hike, but worth doing for the views! Would like to have stayed longer to do some exploring around the castle, but just didn't have the time!

Bavarian Beer and Food Evening Tour in Munich

Munich, Germany

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
Nice intro to German beer and food! We got to sample four different beers during the tour and had a platefuls of food at Hofbraukeller consisting of pretzels, bread, about 4 different kinds of sausages, different types of cheeses, pickles, etc. Finished the tour at Hofbrauhaus in which 10 of us kept drinking liters of beer till it closed! Had a blast with the people on the tour. It says not to eat before the tour but you don't eat till like 3 hours into the tour, so I would eat a little something because we were all starving. There was a lot of food at the restaurant though, but beers aren't included from the restaurant on.

The Original Sound of Music Tour in Salzburg

Salzburg, Austria

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
I love the Sound of Music so I had to do the tour! Got to see a lot of filming spots but it seemed like we were just there to take a picture and go, however, it was raining that day. The gazebo you can't go in, but it's neat to see. The Lake District is absolutely beautiful! Lots of movie filming history from the tour guide who was very funny! Plus, you get to sing on the bus! Still worth doing for any Sound of Music lover!

Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath Day Trip from London

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
Windsor is beautiful and you get an audio guide. Stonehenge is something you just have to see, and it also has an audio guide. Bath was pretty, but we were so tired from traveling all day in the bus that is was kind of hard to enjoy. The tour guide was funny and gave a lot of history about everything we saw. You will spend a lot of time in the bus going from place to place, so be prepared with snacks and drinks!

Oxford, Cotswolds, Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick Castle Day Trip from London

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
Warwick Castle was very cool! I could have spent awhile there even though we only had an hour and a half. Stratford-on-Avon was neat to see, but I'm glad we didn't drive out there to do it by ourselves because it would have been a quick trip. The Shakespeare's Birthplace tour only lasts about 20 minutes. Good chocolate place right across from it! the Cotswolds are beautiful! Only had an hour at Oxford, and probably could have spent the day. Christ Church was beautiful, we saw where Harry Potter was filmed, and did a short tour of the grounds. Would like to go back to spend a day. Loved that the tour picked us up from our hotel and then dropped you off at tube stations for you to go back to your hotel. The tour guide very knowledgeable and friendly.

Cork and Blarney Castle Rail Trip from Dublin

Dublin, Ireland

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
The tour was very organized all the way through. Blarney Castle was awesome! You can explore all different parts of the castle and grounds, and kiss the Blarney Stone. They do have someone taking your picture up there and you can purchase it for 10 euro for an 8 x 10. Kind of pricey but something you will never forget! Probably could have left Cork out as there was much to do there and we could have used the extra time at the castle. The tour guide does not go into the castle with you and show you around. You are by yourself, but they do a good job explaining the background of the things you are getting ready to see. The train ride is pretty long from Dublin and wear good walking shoes!

Northern Ireland including Giant's Causeway Rail Tour from Dublin

Dublin, Ireland

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
Absolutely gorgeous! Scenery was unbelievable, and tour guide was hilarious! Definitely requires some walking, so wear comfy shoes. One thing that should be mentioned is that the tour guide explains what you are seeing and the history before you get there but does not go to the actual sights with you. However, I feel we were very knowledgeable about everything we saw that day. Definitely going again when we go back to Ireland!
