Oxford, Cotswolds, Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick Castle Day Trip from London

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

My Review
This tour didn't spark too much excitement. There is quite a bit of "windshield time" viewing the countryside on this tour. This excursion included a walking tour around Oxford University not inside any buildings and a drive through the Cotswolds no stopping. Stratford-upon-Avon was neat in that we toured Shakespeare's birthplace, about the only highlight in that town. Warwick castle was disappointing in that it was more of a theme park rather than a historical point of interest. Children running everywhere, costumed workers, Madame Tussaud's wax figures. It has been pretty well preserved but we felt there was too much time allotted for the stop at Warwick. We'd recommend this tour for someone not looking for a lot of physical activity and wants to see the countryside.

Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle Day Trip from London

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
WOW! Take advantage of this excursion if you are traveling in the summer time. The only time the public can view these elaborate residences of the Queen is when she is gone for 2 months in the summer time. It would have been nice to have 60 to 90 minutes more at Windsor Castle to view the Chapel and some other buildings because Buckingham Palace was at your leisure and the end of the tour. Both establishments are just so grand and elaborate that you can't help but almost feel the wealth and feel like royalty yourself as you tour the ballrooms, staircases, china exhibits, costumes of her Majesty, jewels, art, and state rooms. Skipping the lines was a great feature of this tour as well.

Private Viewing of Stonehenge including Bath and Lacock

London, United Kingdom

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review
The private viewing of Stonehenge iswas the only way to go!!!!! It was after-hours, just our tour bus of 52 people and half of the group went inside the henge at a time. It is only through this tour that you can go inside the henge and touch the stones. All other tours and general admission are limited to the paved path outside the stones. Bath was a good time touring the Roman Baths incl. in this excursion. We even had our free glass of mineral water that claims a cure to your ailments! Lacock was quaint with dinner at the oldest pub in the UK, great food. We recommend this tour just for the Stonehenge visit, it was AMAZING!!
