Chianti Region Wine Tasting Half-Day Trip from Florence

My Review: This was an enjoyable trip and the guide certainly knew a lot about the region. The family member who showed us around the castle was amusing, entertaining and knew a lot of the family history. However, I felt we learnt more about the process of making olive oil than of the wine making. We didn't see any of the wine making process, the vines, or the bottling? The 3 wines we tasted were very good, as were the snacks that went with them. A nice trip, but'I don't think this would suit real wine buffs.

Florence Bike Tour

My Review: I absolutely loved this tour. I was a bit nervous about riding a bike as I haven't done so for a couple of years. There were only 3 of us on the trip and our guide Michele was great. He knew a lot of the history of Florence and told us without it being boring. We stopped often for the chance to take pictures. The gelato halfway through the trip was great.
As much as I enjoyed this, it was a bit scary weaving in and out of traffic and people, and I would not like to do it in the busier periods.

Barcelona Hop-on Hop Off Tour: North to South Route

My Review: The price was exactly the same as buying the ticket at the tourist office which I had to get to to pick up my tickets anyway. My husband bought a 4 day public transport ticket at the airport for around 20 euro and this was much better value. The main reason I bought the ticket was because I wanted to go to Park Guell and I read that with public transport there is a 10 minute walk from the stop up a steep hill, so I wanted to avoid that. Even with the hop-on hop off bus, it stops at the same place, so I still had the 10 minute walk! It was well worth it though, and maybe I wouldn't have gone with public transport. The nearest bus stop was a 20 minute walk from my hotel. I could have taken the metro but then I would have to pay out more money. In my opinion, the public transport ticket is much better value.

Lisbon Airport Shared Departure Transfer

My Review: We had the same driver for the departure as we did for the arrival, and he was once again very friendly. He turned up almost an hour early, but he waited with no problems until we were ready.
