Interesting tour. Downside was that it was a special day (5th day/5th month/55 year in Buddist calendar) so very busy at each temple.

Very enjoyable and lovely view of Bangkok by night. We were on upper deck at front and caught the breeze. Buffet food was nice and there was a good choice and sufficient amounts. Band played soft background music which allowed for conversation and we were next to them! Staff were accommodating and helpful. Would recommend highly.

We were disappointed that we could not enter any actual part of the palace - only acces to the outside. Interesting history and enjoyed watching the changing of the guard. Not one that we would rush back for.

Enjoyed the floating markets and, whilst they are more commercial now than when my parents visited back in the 1970s, there were still some bargains to be purchased. The long tail boat ride up the canals was interesting. The Rose Garden Cultural Centre wasn't quite what we expected - very commecial. Enjoyed the show inside but the elephant show was somewhat disappointing. Would revisit the markets but wouldn't bother about returing the centre.

Excellent tour guide, Yai, made this a memorable day. Walking across the bridge one felt the pain on the POWs and Thai labourers. The long tail boat ride up the river to the bridge was fun and provided a much welcome breeze to relief the heat (41c). Our train ride on a local train was an enjoyable experience. Lunch was tasty and there was a good variety to suit everyone. A must see tour when visiting Thailand.

Ayuttaya temples were full of Thailand's history on which our guide was very knowledgeable. He was also amenable to taking photos of couples which was nice. Our lunch on the river cruise back to Bangkok was enjoyable - sitting with people from other countries is always a pleasant experience. Would strongly recommend this tour as we learnt much about Thailand's history - Ayutthaya was once the country's capital!
