Ultimate Hoover Dam Tour

My Review: It was a fun trip and we enjoyed the entertainment, which certainly made the minivan journey fly by. Walking the dam was the best part of the tour but we didn't walk all the way across the top - the guide took us three quarters of the way and then turned back again before the last bit which was slightly disappointing. The other parts of the tour were a bit too whistlestop - we had to gloss over most of the contents of the Boulder City museum and dam exhibits but were allowed time to shop at a chocolate factory which wasn't really what we were interested in and we'd have preferred more time at the dam and in Boulder City. Lunch in Boulder City was another highlight of the tour but again it was rushed. We had a good time but we'd have done it differently.

Grand Canyon West Rim Indian Country Air and Ground Day Trip from Las Vegas

My Review: We thought we would be flying from Las Vegas but we flew from Boulder City, which was about half an hour away. We were nearly an hour and a half on a minibus before we got to the airport because we had to pick other people up in Las Vegas and then drive to the airport. However once the tour properly started it was very enjoyable and we were so glad we went. The plane flight to the canyon was a great experience even though it didn't fly over the canyon just near the rim. Nevertheless there were some great views. The hop-on, hop-off coaches around the west rim were good and we got up close to the canyon which was definitely the best part of the trip and meant we could get some brilliant photos on the ground. It's great that there are no railings or barriers and it's not spoiled by tourism.
