Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour

My Review: I really enjoyed my Tuscany tour. We covered a lot of territory, 350 KM in 12 hours, yet it didn't seem overwhelming. Our tour guide, Sandra, was particularly helpful and and made the whole experience very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this tour and would consider taking it again myself.

Skip the Line: Florence Accademia and Uffizi Gallery Tour

My Review: The content of the tour was really engaging, but the listening devices they gave us didn't work properly which made it difficult to hear the guide. By the midpoint of the tour, half of the group had turned off their listening devices and turned them in to the guide, including me. The tour should start earlier than 4:30 so the participants would have more time to explore the museum on their own. I didn't feel that I had enough time.

My Review: The tour gave an in-depth account of the palace architecture, life of the Doge, and Venician politics. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and personable and had been doing the tour for over 25 years.

Venice Gondola Ride and Serenade

My Review: I enjoyed the tour in general, but the ride was really bumpy on the grand canal due to the heavy boat traffic. After we turned onto a smaller canal, the ride was smoother. Our gondolier answered his cell phone and lit up a cigarette during the ride which detracted from the ambiance for me. This was the second time in two years that I've taken this tour and the first time was much better due to my seating position on the gondola and my proximity to the singer. I would recommend this tour and would probably take it again during my next visit to Venice.

Venice Ghost Walking Tour

My Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour because I got to see parts of Venice that I wouldn't ordinarily see and heard a lot of good stories. I'm glad that I got to see Marco Polo's house which I never would have found on my own. The tour guide was excellent and I would highly recommend this tour.

Murano, Burano and Torcello Half-Day Sightseeing Tour

My Review: This tour gave a good introduction to the 3 islands, but didn't leave us much time to explore each one. This turned out to be a multilingual tour and I had a hard time understanding the guide's heavily accented English.
