Budapest Sightseeing Tour with Parliament House Visit

This tour was excellent and I would highly recommend it. I was not expecting anything so grand as their Parliament building. They certainly take a lot of pride in their country. Our guide was excellent. The tour made three other stops in addition to the Parliament building. If you are going in the winter, I suggest you take this tour in the morning. We took this tour in the afternoon and it was dark for the last hour of the tour - not their fault, just pointing that out.

The tour of the city part was only OK. It lasted about an hour and then we spent the rest of the time at Schonbrunn Palace, which was great. The city tour part does not make any stops and does seem to go fast. We would have liked a little more time and information on Vienna.

This tour was great. However, we could have used more time at Giverny. They only give you two hours to see everything - house, gardens, museum, church, grave site, etc. I would like to come back on my own some day.

Skip the Line: Catacombs of Paris Small-Group Walking Tour

I enjoyed visiting the catacombs. There are two advantages to taking this tour. One, you enter as a group as soon as all of the other participants are present. So, you do not wait in line like the other tourists. This saved 20-30 minutes. Second, it was nice to have a guide to explain what we were looking at while we walked in the catacombs. There aren't too many English signs down below! On the other hand, this tour is advertised as lasting two hours. It did not. We were done in one hour and 20 minutes. I don't feel there was any rushing or anything skipped either. I thought the price was a little high but you may think it was worth it.

This is an expensive tour but worth doing if you want to discover some different chocolate shops in Paris. There were only 4 people in my group and the tour guide was excellent - very patient and friendly.

Pieskowa Skala Castle and Czestochowa including the 'Black Madonna' Day Tour from Krakow

This was a very good tour. There were 6 people in our group and the driverguide was excellent. I strongly recommend this tour if your are religious or want to see an aspect of Polish Catholicism. However, be warned that it is a two hour drive to Czestochowa and two hours back. In a car, it was a bit cramped. Our guide gave us lots of information about Poland and Polish history on the ride to and from Czestochowa. Czestochowa was very crowded with lots of pilgrims. We spent three hours there. two hours with the guide and one hour on our own The visit to Pieskowa Skala castle was about an hour long.

I enjoyed the day! This trip is great for families and kids. I would think twice about doing it on a windy cloudy day. Many people on the boat were freezing! The shark and stingray feeding were neat to see, but the beach is pretty small!

I had a great time doing this trip and am glad that I did it. However, it whets the appetite for more. First, the hike is only about a 15 minute walk, so nothing big. I expected something longer. Second, it only takes about a half hour to kayak to the island. On the island, there is not much to do, and the water was too rough for snorkeling. The guide was great, however.

Mount Pilatus Summer Day Trip from Zurich

I have mixed feelings about this trip. The guide did not really provide a tour of Lucerne or any information about the sights of the city. For example, we visited the Lion monument but the guide did not tell us why it was so special. I had to read my guidebook to find out. Then we were dropped at a watch shop and told we had an hour to explore the city on our own. Nothing else was pointed out to us in Lucerne. The weather not the fault of the tour company, was cloudy and we saw very little on the top of Pilatus. I would suggest that people book mountain rides on their own when they arrive in Switzerland based on weather conditions. The cruise on the lake was excellent.

This tour was just OK. The guide did not provide much information about Zurich during the city tour portion. Sights were pointed out to us, but no history of the city or of the sights was given. Actually, the guide said very little. She seemed bored or sick. The ferry ride lasts about 15 minutes, and you are on a car ferry!! You barely have enough time to get out of the bus before you have to get back on. I would skip this tour.

Naples and Pompeii Day Trip from Rome

This tour provides great value for those who do not have the time to take a train to Pompeii on their own. They gladly pick you up and take you back to your hotel. A delicious lunch was included. The tour guide who brought us through Pompeii was excellent and very friendly. I cannot rave enough about going to Pompeii. This alone made the tour worth it.
However, be aware that it is a 3 hour bus ride from Rome to Naples, so we arrived in Naples at 1130AM. We only had a picture stop in Naples harbor and a 15 minute or so ride around Naples. We wished we had a little more time in Naples to either walk around or learn more about the city. We were at the Cameo store for about a half hour and some people enjoyed it some did not. The bus also stops for a snack/drink on the way back to Rome. This was unnecessary and we could have simply driven straight to Rome.

Florence Half-Day or Full-Day Sightseeing Tour

We did the morning tour and wish we had signed up for the full day tour of Florence. The guide was terrific! His love for Florence was evident as he spoke. He really gave us a lot of interesting insight into Michelangelo.
