Departure Transfer by High-Speed Maglev Train: Hotel to Shanghai Pudong International Airport

My Review: This was fine but we could have done the same thing ourselves for a quarter of the price.
The Maglev train was a bit of fun but the train only gets to 431kph and that speed is only for 30 seconds. The guide was quite informative however and he took some good pictures for us.

Suzhou and Zhouzhuang Water Village Day Trip from Shanghai

My Review: This was an interesting trip especially to the water village. However, it is in danger ofgetting very exploited and spoiled bybtoo much tourist "tat". Also, why do we keep getting taken to silk factories and other places trying to encourage you to part with your money!!!! We had already been taken to a silk factory on one of our Beijing day trips and weren't impressed to be taken to another one!! Neither were the rest of our party. Otherwise an interesting day.

Great Wall of China at Mutianyu Full Day Tour including Lunch from Beijing

My Review: This was the highlight of our time in Beijing. I would recommend this part of the wall to anyone as it is a lot quieter. It is however, very steep in parts and my legs were shaking for a long time afterwards|!!!! However, it is an experience not to be missed and the views were amazing, helped of course by near perfect weather!! A great day out , the guide, Jason was very informative and when we requested to be taken back via the Birds Nest Stadium he didn't hesitate to oblige. A great day's tour.

Private Custom Tour: Beijing in One Day

My Review: This custom tour was good as the guide took us around various points of interest in Beijing, such as the Summer Palace, Tianamen Square and the Forbidden City as well as to a market and teahouse. I felt we managed to pack a lot into our day. We wemt everywhere by taxi which was the most convenient way of getting about if you wanted to see anything, otherwise the subway is an exscellent mode of travel. We started out at 9.00am and finished around 5.30pm so we had a full day.

Victoria by Seaplane and Ferry from Vancouver

My Review: Everything was well organised from the seaplane to the busferry return. As we had never been on a seaplane before it was quite a thrill to takeoff and land on the water!! We took the first seaplane over which meant we had all day in Victoria and it enabled us to visit the Buchart Gardens with plenty of time left over to see round Victoria itself. The busferry ride back was well organised and the bus dropped us right back at our hotel. A great day out.

Seattle City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

My Review: This was a good way of getting to know Seattle but it is a city which is quite compact really, so I didn't see the need to have this available over two days as we didn't use the facility much the second day as we then knew what we wanted to do, so it was a bit of a waste.

Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl Valley Wine Day Trip

My Review: Excellent trip for wine buffs, and a very informative guide took us to other sights as well. We tasted 11 different wines which we thougt was good value. One tip - don't buy wine from the wineries - it's far more expensive there and you can get these wines at the airport for a lot less!

Cape Peninsula Tour from Cape Town

My Review: This was an amzing day trip. The scenery was fabulous and we saw some whales albeit in the distance. The lunch stop at Cape Point was picturesque and you get time to "do" the lighthouse at the Point. We saw wild ostriches, baboons and deer too. A day well spent.

My Review: This a great way to familiarise yourself with the city and its surroundings. We found there were plenty of buses coming along all the time so you didn't need to wait long.
