Recoleta Afternoon Walking Tour

My Review: If you like history, economics, architecture, arts this tour is definitely for you! The local company offers two different tours, a morning walk from Retiro Plaza San Martin to Recoleta and an afternoon tour from Recoleta to Palermo. The tour starts at 2pm, but plan to arrive ahead and have lunch at Cafe Biela which is where the tour starts. It is a historical cafe, in the heart of Recoleta. It even has a terrasse in the shade of a 200 year old tree. The first hour of the tour is dedicated to the Recoleta cemetery. You'll hear amazing stories about the different people, famous and less famous, resting in peace. You'll also hear about Eva Peron and see her tomb. Then, you'll walk along the avenue del Libertador and hear about different monuments and buildings including the national library, Errazuriz palace, the Art museum, etc. The guide we had was very knowledgeable and interesting.

Buenos Aires Tango Show

My Review: If you go to Buenos Aires, this tour is a must! There are different packages offered to you, but the one with the dinner included is a good choice. If you don't take the dinner, often your seats are at the mezzanine level. Our evening was at an institutional Tango place in the heart of San Telmo area. We really enjoyed this evening and definitely recommend it.

Argentina Fiesta Gaucha Day Trip from Buenos Aires

My Review: We booked this tour in order to see some sights outside Buenos Aires. We had the choice between the Tigre or Colonia, but we choose this one. It turned out to be a very pleasant day spent at a typical Argentinian estancia. When you arrive, you'll be able to ride horses if you like. Then an excellent lunch will be served including salads, plenty of different meats and local wines. While lunch is being served, there is a folkloric show going on with dancers, singers, musicians. The day concludes with the Gauchas demonstration of their skills. A very interesting excursion to do in couple, with kids, or in a group.

Buenos Aires City Sightseeing Tour

My Review: This tour will give you a very good introduction to this amazing city, so I recommend that you plan it early during your stay in Buenos Aires. A few stops are planned during the tour at some strategic places, like Recoleta, Plaza Mayo, and La Boca. You have plenty of time to take pictures and even watch some tango dancers at La Boca. Not to be missed !

Buzios Day Trip from Rio de Janeiro

My Review: We booked this tour from Rio in order to visit different places around the cosmopolitain city. Unfortunately, this tour turns out to be only a private coach transfer from Rio to Buzios and that is it. Once you arrive, different activities are suggested to you, like a cruise around the bay or a coach tour around the peninsula. Both activities are very expensive. Maybe this tour could include one of the proposed activities and also include a walking guided tour of the old town. One thing for sure is that this place is very beautiful. There are plenty of shops, restaurants, cafes, beaches for you to relax and have a good time.

Rio de Janeiro Half-Day Walking Tour

My Review: We booked this tour to learn about the history and the past of this vibrant city. We enjoyed visiting historical places and appreciated the information that we were told by our dynamic guide. Also during the tour, we had the chance to make a little stop at the beautiful Confeitaria Colombo. For the price of the excursion, I was expecting more from this tour. The places we visited didn't have entrance fees and we visited mostly monasteries, churches and cathedrals. Overall, it was a good walking tour and excursion.

Angra dos Reis Day Trip and Schooner Cruise

My Review: If you book this tour, a beautiful day is awaiting for you. It starts with a three hour drive from Rio to Angra dos Reis. As soon as you arrive, you'll board the schooner boat. The whole afternoon you'll be cruising different islands and different beaches. You'll have plenty of time for swimming, snorkeling, walking on the beach, relaxing, etc. A plus on this tour is that your lunch is included - a good Brazilian style buffet is served versus other tours where lunch is not included and can turn out to be expensive. I highly recommend this tour and don't forget to bring your swimsuit and sun lotion !

Rio de Janeiro Airport Roundtrip Shuttle Transfer

My Review: We arrived in Rio in the evening and pre-booked this airport transfer service in order to not having to worry about how to get to the hotel. The transfer from the airport is hourly, so we had to wait a good 45 minutes before our turn. But the service is reliable and at a good price. For the return from the hotel to the airport, the driver was very punctual and on time. I recommend this transfer.
