Stockholm, Sweden
My Rating

I had a limited time in Stockholm so this was a very efficient way to see the major sites and get a feel for the city. One can hop off the bus at any of the stops, explore, and then hop back on another bus. For those like me with limited time it was an excellent way to see the city. For those with more time, the tour would be good to take at the beginning of the visit since it gives one an overview after which one can go back and explore places of interest at one's own pace.

This is a very long, but very worthwhile trip from Honolulu. Not only is the scenery spectacular, but the tour is designed to show the variety of the scenery, from barren lava flows, to active volcanoes, lush forest, waterfalls and lava tubes. We also saw turtles coming ashore at the black sand beach. The trip also gave insights into the economy with stops at a Kona coffee plantation and later at a Macadamia nut cooperative, as well as insights into the importance of cattle ranching The guide was extremely informative about the history,
geology and agriculture of the island.

If you don't want to rent a car, this day tour gives insights into the diversity of Oahu and was well-designed to show the different landscapes of the island. The guide was very informative. This is a popular tour and on the day I went there were 3 full buses. To avoid crowding at the various stops, the driver/guides had the initiative to slightly change the itinerary schedule so that only one bus would be at a particular stop at a time.

This was an excellent tour in a small mini-bus. The scenery is fantastic - from the crater of Haleakala at over 10,000 feet to the lush Iao valley. The driver/guide was excellent. We had plenty of time in Lahaina by ourselves and a big plus was that the guide stopped at an overlook where we could see whales spouting in the channel and the sun setting into the ocean.

After a long flight it is nice to be picked up and not have to find a taxi. Even though my flight was 4 hours late, I was met as I got off the plane and ushered to the waiting van. Before boarding the van, I was given a voucher for my return to the airport with the pick-up time so I did not have to call the company to confirm the time. This roundtrip transfer was very efficient and reliable.

My Rating

The trip is well worth doing. The pyramids are fantastic and the shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe was very interesting. Both the guide and driver were extremely courteous, helpful and informative. The trip also stops off in the morning at a silver shop to see a craftsman engraving silver and later at an artisan cooperative to see hand carvings and learn about the many uses of the agave cactus. While it was clearly hoped that people would buy something, there was absolutely no hard sell, and in fact especially the second stop was very interesting in showing the many uses of the agave, from pulque to paper to needles. What was also very nice was that we were a small group, divided into Spanish and English speakers. Instead of taking us around as a whole group, the Spanish speakers went with the driver/guide and the English speakers went with the guide and this worked very well. We had time on our own to climb the pyramids, for example. A really good and interesting trip.

After a long flight, it was really nice to have a friendly person waiting to drive me to my hotel. The driver provided a good welcome to Mexico. Both drivers from and to the airport were friendly, helpful and courteous and also very punctual. I was a little worried about my return to the airport since I needed to be picked up at 4 in the morning for my early flight, but, as noted above, the driver was there punctually. Both drivers pointed out places of interest along the way. This is a very reliable service that makes arrival and departure hassle free.

Whether you have a lot of time in Iceland or just a little, this is a tour definitely worth doing, if you don't plan to rent a car. The downside is that it is a very popular tour so a lot of people go. That is the only downside. The scenery was spectacular and the tour gave plenty of time at each major site, so much that one could see the geysir erupt at least 8 times (it erupts about every 5 minutes). There was also plenty of time at the spectacular waterfall to enable one (if one decided to forgo lunch) to take the path right down to the waterfall. The guide was very informative. I would probably recommend the Day trip, the one I took, because it allows more time at each site.

I thought this tour was fantastic. The scenery is spectacular and one sees a variety of different landscapes from pleasant valleys with sheep, to lava fields, to spectacular cliffs, and the most spectacular of all, the glacier. There were only a few people on this trip so the bus was small. The trip was well designed and the guide was excellent. The tour was also very punctual about hotel pick-up. If you like beautiful scenery, the tour is very worthwhile.

This was an excellent excursion. The tour company provided an excellent guide and driver. What was really nice was that the group was small - 5 people- so we had time to be flexible. The scenery is fantastic and the itinerary, which not only included Cape Point but also an ostrich farm, penguins, seals, not to mention pushy baboons, was varied and interesting.

If you don't have time to go to a national park to see animals in the wild, this is the next best thing to do. Our driver to the game reserve was very good and informative. It is just over 2 hours from Cape Town, but the scenery is really pretty and takes you through wine growing areas. On the reserve we saw lots of animals including elephants, rhinos (plus baby), zebras, giraffe etc. The reserve greets one with sparkling wine and breakfast. After the safari, lunch is served - a really fabulous lunch. On the way back we stopped at an ostrich farm and had a tour, which included seeing 3-day old ostriches. I very much enjoyed the excursion and liked the fact that it was a small group.
