The guide was really knowledgeable, but the 3+ hour duration in heavy crowds was just too slow and too long.

This tour is great fun! We tried a similar tour in Florence and loved the speed of travel and range that can be covered in 3 hours. The same applies here. Good, knowledgeable guide and a fun way for a family of 5 (age range 18 to 51) to see ancient Rome.
