A fabulous morning out. Starting with a comfortable Bus ride and arriving for a buffet breakfast of average quality, (although the selection was enormous),but getting straight into the Orangutan experience while you eat. Throw in a python to hold and you know this is not going to be your average day. The zoo is world class and very well laid out. All in all, a great experience.
While the sights of Singapore at night are spectacular, we weren't taken to the most spectacular which is the 15 minute Laser Light Show from the roof and foreshores of the Casino down at the Marina. The Deep Fried Chinese Restaurant dinner of Soft Shell Crab, Sweet and Sour Fish and Lemon Chicken came with rice, Brocolli and Sweet corn and Chicken soup....all tasty but for me, just a bit too much deep fried. Be warned that the cost of Alcohol at Clarke Quay is outrageous. $16 for a low tide glass of wine and over $10 for a beer. Water could be had for $1 per glass. Chinatown delivers much better value and quality food.
Bugis St markets were quite good. If you are on a limited time schedule it would be still worth doing.
