The price is too high through Viator so just get off the plane and go get on the bus and pay at the door, much cheaper.

I had read the reviews about this day being too rushed and I had to agree at the end of the day that too much is crammed into this day. The lack of solid food made the day difficult for my teenage son. We travelled at a busy time of year and felt that we got lost in the crowd a little bit too much and when having paid to be a part of a tour I felt a little disappointed that the places we visited didn't take better care of us, especially Waitomo Caves where the individual cash paying customers got preferential treatment and went ahead of us even though we were on a deadline. There seemed to be a lack of communication between the venue and the tour company. Having said all this I thoroughly recommend this if you do not have time to see much of New Zealand.

What a magnificent introduction to Auckland this was for us. To get off the plane and check into our hotel and first night with perfect weather and wind, it was fantastic. Food was great and really inexpensive. The company was great and the sailing a treat. The photo my son took of the Auckland City at dusk was a treasure.
