Loire Valley Castles Day Trip: Chambord, Cheverny and Chenonceau

My Review: We really enjoyed this trip. The destinations were well chosen, the guides were excellent and the lunch was very good. We went with our 3 kids in their early twenties and everyone had a good time. It is a long day however- about 13 hours for us as the castles are about a 3 hour drive from Paris.

Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath Day Trip from London

My Review: Long day but well worth it. Windsor Castle was fabulous and we enjoyed Stonehenge. Bath was a cute town and the baths were well preserved. Our guide was excellent.

Zaanse Schans Windmills, Marken and Volendam Half-Day Trip from Amsterdam

My Review: It was a nice way to see the countryside outside of the city and to visit the older windmills. A half day was plenty and the stops tended to be very tourist and commercial oriented.

Amsterdam Canal Bus Hop-On Hop-Off

My Review: This is a great way to see the sights of Amsterdam. My only complaint is the up to 40 minute wait time between boats, as compared to 15-20 minute times on Hop-On Hop-Off Buses in other cities.

My Review: Very nice way to see the city with a guided narrative of what we were seeing. Plenty of wine, snack portions were small though considering the wine available. We did this first and it changed what we planned to see the next day on the Hop-On Hop-Off tour.

My Review: This tour was nothing short of fabulous. Our guide explained what we were seeing very well, which made the visit so much more meaningful. Skipping a 3-4 hour wait in line was well worth the price by itself.

My Review: A wonderful way to see the city sights. Pick up points are near attractions and are about every 15 - 20 minutes. A great way to get around with narrration of important sights as you travel. Be sure to get tickets online for attractions like the Colliseum and Vatican museum online in advance to avoid long lines. This saved us alot of time and money and allowed us to see so much more.

My Review: I loved the hop-on hop-off method of seeing the city with a narrated journey of what was around you as you travelled. Stops were within easy walking distance of sights, and maps provided and the guides were helpful in getting us started in the right direction. Only complaint was the 40 minutes between buses, compared to 15 - 20 minutes in other cities. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance online to see David or the line is very long.

Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and Dover

My Review: We really enjoyed this tour. The guide was excellent and while there was not alot to see in Dover beyond the white cliffs and pillboxes, it was still meaningful to see these WWII important places. Leeds Castle was wonderful to see. Pickup was near the hotel but dropoff was about a mile from the hotel.

My Review: A very good tour but more touristy than the tour to Canterbury and Leeds Castle. Oxford was interesting but we couldn't get in to see much due to closing times of the various colleges. Pickup was close to our hotel but dropoff was about a mile away.
