Normandy D-Day Battlefields and Beaches Day Trip

Paris, France

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This tour was worth every cent. We were picked up at our hotel by Frederick right on time. After picking up several other folks we headed off to Normandy. Along the way Frederick pointed out places of interest and answered any questions we had. The group was made up of all Americans so we had a lot in common and everyone was very nice. First we toured Pointe du Hoc, then Omaha Beach. I can't tell you the feeling it was standing on the beach were there was so much bloodshed. What brave soldiers they were to give their lives for their country. The cemetary was very sobering. We then headed off to lunch at a small village inn. The food was incredible! The best we had on our trip. After visiting Arromanches, near Gold Beach and driving by Juno Beach we made our way back to Paris. Frederick was the best!!!! Merci beaucoup!

Zaanse Schans Windmills, Marken and Volendam Half-Day Trip from Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Netherlands

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
We had a great time on the windmill and fishing village tour. We had taken the tulip tour in the morning and had time to take this tour in the afternoon. In fact when we got off the first bus my husband had our tickets for the windmills in his hand and the guide for the second tour, Maria, happened to be right outside the bus. See spotted the tickets and told us to stay with her. She was VERY friendly and helpful. All of the stops are this tour are wonderful. Watching the shoemaker make wooden shoes in front of our eyes was incredible! The fishing village was quaint and Volendam was a village right out of a picture book! We walked through the village and the residents decorate their windows so beautifully I wanted to stop and take a picture of each! I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Keukenhof Gardens and Tulip Fields Tour from Amsterdam

Amsterdam, Netherlands

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
This tour was beautiful! The tour company was just minutes from our hotel and very easy to find. Everyone was very kind and helpful. The gardens are beyond words. Think about 7 million tulip bulbs planted in one place and being able to stroll through the gardens and take it all in. Breath-taking! Our guide was very informative describing the sites both on the way to and from the gardensspeaking in 4 languages! I would definitely take this tour again or recommend it to anyone going to Amsterdam in the spring. Worth every penny!!!
