Beignets at Café du Monde
New Orleans
My Rating

Don't bother wasting time or money anywhere else in the French Quarter (or New Orleans for that matter) for a beignet! These are the best, hands down--be patient with the lines--there's a reason to wait!

Jazz Brunch Buffet at the Court of Two Sisters Restaurant
New Orleans, Louisiana
My Rating

It took me five trips to New Orleans, but I finally made it to this famous brunch. And it was all that and a bag of beignets! Worth every penny spent, my husband and I feasted on some of the best Creole and Cajun traditional dishes around.
The courtyard, while a bit steamy from the weather, added the perfect ambiance as the jazz trio serenaded our digestive tracts. And don't worry--if it rains, there is a large inside dining area available for you to continue your feast.
On your way out, treat yourself again by stopping by the bar. Grab yourself a "to-go" Bayou Bash red wine/Southern Comfort cocktail or bourbon Mint Julep. Will add a little "lagniappe" to your siteseeing.:)

New Orleans Original Cocktail Walking Tour
New Orleans, Louisiana
My Rating

Absolutely enjoyed this tour, although it might best be called a culinary history tour, not just a cocktail tour. Getting an inside view of some of the city's best restaurants, as well as hearing the history of New Orleans through it's food and drink was a pleasure. It was even more enjoyable than the previous walking history tour I took last visit. Would recommend it...and you don't even have to drink to enjoy it!
