My Review
We did not have to wait in line to get in. Horray! It was worth it just for that. Our guide was helpful and informative about the history of The Academia and the art works inside. Kay was jubilante to see the David by Michelangelo. Unfortunately we were not allowed to take photos, The gift shop did have plenty at least. The tour of the Uffitze was good also, We got there early and Kay sat with the guide before it started. She was Enlish and had a wonderful accent. During the tour she was information and funny, Talking about Fra Angelico's escapades as a youth. She share her opinion that he was a naughty boy in his early years. Climbing over the garden fence to carry on with the neighbor's Daughter. Kay was able to stand in front of her favorite Bottichelli painting "The Birth of Venus" after the tour was over and she was happy.

My Review
The tour guide had a little trouble keeping track of us all. He explanation of the different places in the forum was excellent. His descriptions were vivid and full of small details that made the ancient forum seem to come alive in front of us. The walk was long but only the climb up the pallatine hill was difficult. We did it be stopping to rest at each level. It was unfortunate that an older couple could not complete. It was definetly a long hike.

I was great! The tour guide was very knowlegable and did a good job of keeping track of us. It was a little dissappointing that the Sistine Chapel was so crowded that you could hardly move around. But we really enjoyed just being there. We were very pleased that we had so much time to spend in the basillica at the end of the tour.
