A wonderful tour in every way. We travelled right up into the mountains near the Austrian border; the views were superb, the lunchtime stop very well chosen, and the small towns stopped at fascinating. Our guide/driver was excellent. Thoroughly recommended.
Excellent in every way and very good value. We were particularly impressed with Fedra, our guide who was knowledgeable and entertaining. It was described as a 'walking tour' but was in fact much more a bus tour, so getting from place to place was easy. Recommended.
The organisation left a good deal to be desired. The guide rushed us off to the Uffizi; my wife, who currently has mild walking problems, could not keep up in the crowded area near the gallery - not could another member of the party. The result was that three people were left behind when the main party entered the building, and no attempt was made to 'count heads' to check that everyone was there. We had to ring the agency to get a representative to come to the gallery and locate the guide, which dod not prove easy, though eventually we were able to join the tour.
Once we managed to join the tour it was good, though would have preferred more time in the Vasari corridor (the point of the trip) rather than being lectured in the Uffizi.
An excellent and memorable trip. The guide - Giovanni - was very good company. The scenery was wonderful, and the places visited well chosen. Highlights were the Villa Barbara and the great lunch. Local food, beautifullly cooked - a great choice of restaurant.
Very much recommended!
