A really impressive variety of animals at the zoo. Even though the animls had large cages and lots of thought went into cage design, things to keep them busy etc, there were still a few animals (particularly the big cats and bears) that ddint seem happy. Always makes me sad to see this. I know zoos have their place but it is so much betterto see these animals in the wild, and having done this, I'll never really be happy seeing them fenced in.
But for those that cant get on safari etc, this is a zoo with plenty to see and keep you busy.

Ddint find any dolphins the day I went-bad luck and that's nature of course. But having loved the Kaikoura dolphin swim I was really guted this one didn't work out and I didn't have time to try again. I'm sure if you find the dolphins it's amazing so dont pay too much notice to this review!
Word of warning: at the moment (May/June 2011) Christchurch isnt very busy so this tour may not happen at all, or not on the day you want it to. My 2 dolphin swims got moved around to fit in with numbers so you may need to be flexible.

Totally amazing. Best thing I did in New Zealand and I did a lot! Really really good. Dolphins everywhere, great interactions, beautiful animals. Do it!

If you like this sort of thing, I recommend the swing! Great views of Queenstown and walking out on that Ledge certainly has the fear factor. Be prepared to pull your own cord to release yourself and enjoy the initial drop-a fantastic rush. Loved it.

Really great way of seeing the S Island with so much beautiful scenery. I just wish it had been longer, or there was an easy way of making it longer. For an adrenaline junkie like me, one free day in Queenstown wasn't enough. Also, the drive to the Franz Josef glacier is a long one, so if you go in winter, you don't end up with much time there, which was a shame.

Great (but long) day out. Lovely scenery and potential for great wildlife. Barbeque lunch was delicious. Highlight was cruising down the Daintree river getting pretty close to some very big salt water crocodiles.

Really good fun, in a great setting, with lovely views as you soar over the trees. And 2nd swings are a bargain price so can do it all over again!

Good mix of rides and animal attractions.

Very enjoyable. The veggie lunch was actually very tasty. The Buddha is impressive and the cable car ride over the island is beautiful.

Excellent. I got lucky as the dolphins were very playful, 7 of them hanging around putting on a show. Really cool to see against the backdrop of a busy international airport.

I was a bit disappointed-for some reason I expected more colour and being on a boat it was hard to see both sides so ended up trying to see both and therefore probably missing out! Might have been simpler to watch from land...?
