So much fun! It was a great way to see the city and much easier to handle than I imagined. Our tour guide, Seth was fantastic too! I would definitely do it again! I went on this tour with my 2 teenage daughters while my husband stayed with our 9 year old son. After our tour, I immediately booked another one for my husband to go later that evening because I was sure he shouldn't miss this tour, and I was right! He loved it too! Another note age limit is only 12 where as you have to be 16 in the US, so the younger teens loved it!

Fun outing! Sandra is knowledgeable about fashion trends and is friendly and helpful. She first talked to my daughter about what she likes and wants, and the quality of items we're looking for. We ended up at several chain stores that we have seen in the US, but not necessarily in our city. I enjoyed Sandra's company and my daughter ended up with a lot of useful pieces she'll enjoy wearing. Sandra has a great job as a "shopping strategist". I'd love to see more of her in other cities!

Giverny and Versailles plus optional Fountain Show by Minivan

My Review
Overall, we had a great day. We started out at Giverny on a gorgeous day in early April. The whole garden would have been in full bloom probably in 2 more weeks. Still it was beautiful! We took lots of pictures. Then we had a nice and relaxing lunch at a pretty farm house. Up till then, the tour was fabulous. By the time we made it to Versailles in the afternoon, there were tourists by the busloads everywhere which made it quite unpleasant but not unexpected. I've been to Versailles 3 times and it's always like that. I guess it's worth it because it was the first time for my kids and it's something everyone must do at least once. The tour guide was great. She spoke French, German, and English fluently and switched back and forth easily with her commentary during the entire drive. She's a safe driver and a wealth of information. You can tell she's been doing this for a long time. The minivan fit 8 passengers snugly. A bus may have given us more space, but would not have been as intimate. The van was able to park conveniently near the entrances, and we got around without any hassles. The drawback was that I sat with my two kids in the back row, and we had a hard time seeing out of the windows. The only criticism I have is that we were on a tight schedule. After Versailles, all the passengers in our minivan wanted to make a quick stop for ice cream, but the driver refused. I understand that it's because she had to get the van back to the office in time for an evening tour, but it just made it seem very impersonal. It would have been "icing on the cake".
