The Louvre museum is amazing, it was something for everyone. Even if you are not an art expert i think you will enjoy a visit to this museum. Its really big so you have to choose which parts you would most like to see and i would recommend hiring a guide and it really helps you to understand the wealth of history and art stored in the amazing building of the Louvre museum. My Top tip: Arrive early to avoid the queses or go to one of the late night visits as these seem to be a lot less crowded

The Arc De Triomphe is a stunning feature in central Paris, its at the end of one of the most famous roads in the whole of Paris the Champs-Elysees. You can easily walk there from central Paris or take one of the regular hop-om hop-off buses. My top tip: Make the time whilst your in Paris to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe, the best views across the whole of Paris can be seen from the top! Its only 284 steps to the top and worth every bit of effort.

Cinque Terre is one of the most stunning places in the whole of Italy. Its less than 2-hours drive from Florence and its made up of 5 small fishing villages. In summer you can hike through all thee 5 villages alternatively you can take the railway trains in between each village which is very easy. The ice cream is amazing here - you have to try vanilla and strawberry! Cinque Terre is a worthwhile day out from the city to see the sea and have the sand between your toes.

The Grand-Place is one of the most beautiful squares i've ever seen, i was lucky enough to stay right in the center of the square and its stunning morning and night, its busy with markets during the day and at night it comes alive with lots of gorgeous lights showing the buildings in all their glory. We were lucky enough to see a band play in the square as we went over Easter weekend, The Grand-Place has lots of traditional bar's and restaurants located close by and its the prefect areas to stay in Brussels.

Stonehenge is amazing! Everyone must see it at least once in their lifetime. I had a private viewing so i was lucky enough to be able to walk among the stones. If you take a regular tour you stand about 50 meters away from the stones. Early morning visits are awesome and add to the mystery of this wonderful ancient site. You have to check it out when your in London, its only about 1.5 hours drive away.

Horse Riding in Chianti Day Trip from Florence

My Review
The was a lovely day, the farm is stunning - set on a hill overlooking the whole of Tuscany, it's a riding school and they have about 30 horses there. We were met by our riding instructor and she helped us get on our horses and feel comfortable before we sent off. I have ridden most of my life but my boyfriend had never ridden before - he was looked after very well and loved the experience. We walked through the woods and big open fields as we made out was up to the top of the hill for lunch, we ate a delicious 2-course meal with red wine and water followed by yummy Italian coffee. Perfect!

What a great day we had, Giovanni is a brilliant tour guide and chief. He kept us thoroughly entertained during the market tour and helped us find some bargains to take home. We bought delicious fresh ingredients for our cooking class, sampled cheese and olive oil before heading back to the apartment to start cooking. We made 3 yummy meals and leant the secrets to Italian cooking. I'd love to do this cooking class every day if I could. I'd highly recommend everyone to take this tour.

Cinque Terre Hiking Day Trip from Florence

Florence, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
Wow! What can i say, Cinque Terre is truly amazing. It's great to escape Florence for the day and head to the sea, this tour covers everything - breakfast, lunch- they even bought us a coffee when we arrived at the train station. The first part of the hike is pretty easy, then you get a delicious lunch with the most breathtaking views and then the more difficult 1.5 hour hike begins, we decided to take the train instead of doing the hike - about half of our tour decided to do this. We hopped on the train to the next village, looked around and had an ice cream before the hikers joined us. We all went to the final village together and relaxed on the beach - what a perfect end to the day. Douglas our tour guide was brilliant, answered every question our group had and really made the day special - he thinks of everything, toilets, timetables for the trains, secret ice cream shops which are to die for. I would highly recommend this tour to everyone.

This was without a doubt the highlight of our entire stay in Florence, the vespas are brilliant and our tour guide Andrea was amazing. He kept us safe with a good orientation lesson before we set off. On this tour we discovered some real treasure of Tuscany as we flew around the countryside on our shinny new vespas. We picked cherries in the courtyard, stopped for fresh cheese and bread, had lunch at the most spectacular villa - overlooking the whole of Tuscany. We had a great group of people and thoroughly enjoyed the day. If you only do one outside of Florence make sure this is it!

What better way to experience Paris than on the Seine river sipping champagne, we loved this tour! Its brilliant value for money and our sommelier gave us some great tips on how to select the best champagne's. We tried 3 different types of Brut champagne and they were all delicious. The sommelier was very generous with the champagne, i think we had at least 4 glasses each! We also enjoyed some yummy biscuits which complimented the champagnes very well. Great fun.
