My Review

In winter this bus goes only every 60 minutes and makes 9 stops, most of them destinations such as the Sky Tower or aquarium.. A very small portion of this trip could be described as scenic. At NZ$35 per person it's not worth the money: pick a destination and take a metro bus: it's cheaper and faster. Commentary is taped and driver seemed to know little history.

My Review

Did this tour several years ago and it was wonderful. It is advertised as the place for wildlife. There was a bad fire several years ago and perhaps this has affected things. Saw some sea lions but no other wildlife except a couple of kangaroos and a single koala in a sanctuary. Raptor bird show showed 4 birds. The arch and rocks are ofcourse spectacular, which one can see weather permitting. Bus driver not that friendly. If you go, fly back otherwise it's a very long day (about 16 hours). Also, bring your sea legs: the day we went it was very bad weather and we had a ferry full of seasick people.

Informed bus driver; gorgeous scenery on the way out to Barossa; nice lunch and good wine tasting. Hahndorf is ok, but it's bit of a tourist trap filled with "antique" and craft shops and endless cappuccino joints.

My Review
Well organized. NOte this departs ex Port Douglas so if you leave from Cairns you'll spend about 2-3 hours on the bus. Spend 3 hours cruising and 3 hours at the reef. Excellent service, semisubmersibles, underwater observation deck and snorkeling are all included and much fun. Options include helicopter ride, guided snorkeling, helmet diving and Scuba diving. One of the pricier tours available but worth every buck even the locals recommend this!.

Kuranda Scenic Railway Day Trip from Cairns

My Review
One spends most of the time on one's own during this tour 3 hours in Kuranda where there are markets, crafts, butterfly, bird and wildlife sanctuaries 42 to vist all three they are nice but small and can each be seen in less than 30 minutes. The Skyrailabout 7.5 km long, is amazing, soaring above the tropical rainforest with two stops along the way, including at Barron Falls. What an achievement to build this in the middle of the forest . The railway is ok, but recommend catching it at Cairns station on your own otherwise it's another 45 minute plus busride each way depending on your hotel location

Wow, what a trip. Lucked out with blue skies, sunshine, and magnificent views especially at Port Campbell. Great driver, very knowledgeable, passed along plants gathered along the way with lots of botanical information. Even spotted Koalas out in the open, natural environment. One passes small seaside communities, fantastic coast line rock formations, forests and farmland. Best tour in Melbourne!

For the time available, it was okay. You are better off doing the highlights alone unless you have very limited time in Florence. Yes, you can prebook and miss the lines. Guide spent far too much time talking about Michelangelo's David, so little time for anything else.

The villages visited were all very scenic, quaint, and colorful but I'd recommend one do this tour in the off season. The Lovers' Walk and boat were so crowded one thought one might be in a shopping center during the holiday rush. Recommend the smaller restaurants for lunch. We made the misatke of going to the recommended restaurant with the good views on the piazza and after almost an hour the waiter came out to ask how I'd like the steak cooked. We left. The guides were pleasant but are really more chauffeurs than guides as they cannot guide since they are not licensed in each of the towns guides are highly regulated in Italy

My Review
The best by far of the three tours we did. Sandra was a fantastic guide - fun, approachable and knowledgeable. Siena was absolutely charming with a hard to beat atmosphere. When we vistied they were just getting ready for the Il Palio horserace. After a short walk in San Gimignano you can taste ice cream at a world champion ice cream maker yup, the lines, or queues for the Brits - go way out the door. The driver too was great, dropping us off as close as possible to the sites, away from the usual tour bus parking. Pisa was OK, but if you plan to climb the leaning tower optional, you need to hussle as there is little time. Due to a delay in our assigned entry time nothing to do with the tour operator we did a demanding climb and spent only a minute or two at the top. perhaps allow slightly more time or omit Pisa altogether.
