Vine and Dine: Small-Group Luxury Wine Tour from San Francisco

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Francisco, California

My Review: We had fun from the moment we stepped on board the vehicle! After a short and scenic journey, we arrived at the first winery, which ended up being my favorite. It was a beautiful tasting room on a stunning vineyard with great affordable wines - I left with a few bottles! The rest of the day was lovely with a couple more winery stops and a nice lunch. A great day in wine country at a great value!

Semi-Private Boutique Wine Country Tour with Personal Wine Blending

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Francisco, California

My Review: This was a great day out in wine country! It was nice to escape the city fog and enjoy the sun shining over the lush vineyards. And this was more than a wine tasting experience - we learned how to blend our own wine at Ravenswood, explored the gallery at Imagery, admired the fountain and gardens on Landmark's outdoor patio, and sampled cheese, chocolate and olive oil in and around Sonoma. The group was also just 4 people, so we got to personalize it terms of how long we wanted to stay at each place. A relaxing day out with nice people and an awesome guide - I can't wait to go back!

Napa and Sonoma Wine Country Tour

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Francisco, California

My Review: We had a great time on this tour! It ended up being a small group of us, all nice people visiting from different parts of the world. It was fun to do it as a local though and I feel lucky that I have the ability to visit these places again soon! Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, but he didn't overwhelm us with the information and history, nor did he hover too closely at the wineries. The whole day went at a pleasant, leisurely pace so we were able to enjoy the fine wine, food and atmosphere Napa and Sonoma have to offer. A great day all in all!

Travel Recommendation

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Francisco

My Review:

I went to Off the Grid in Upper Haight last night and it was fantastic! I had my choice of Vietnamese, Indian, Mexican and more. I went with the curry truck to get what they called a "deconstructed samosa" - delicious! And even though I was full, I ended the night with a red velvet mini cupcake from the cupcake truck. Yum! I'll definitely be going back again.

San Diego Tour: Hop-on Hop-off Trolley

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Diego, California

My Review: The hop-on hop-off trolley was a great alternative to (expensive!) cab rides and the (crowded!) lightrail system. The trolley dropped us right off at the top San Diego points of interest and the schedule was flexible enough that we could get around town without ever feeling stranded.

San Diego Zoo Best Value Ticket

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Diego, California

My Review: I had a great time at the zoo! We were greeted right away by a friendly worker who advised that since it was our first time at the zoo, we should take the narrated bus tour. This was a great tip! We were able to see most of the exhibits then decide which critters we wanted to revisit on foot. The cuddly koalas were my favorite!

San Diego Gaslamp Quarter Flavor and History Walking Tour

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Diego, California

My Review: This was a nice, personalized tour around the Gaslamp Quarter. Our guide, Bridgette, shared the interesting history of this former "red light" district as we walked, pointing out famous buildings and landmarks along the way. We covered a lot of ground and had quite a few opportunities to rest and enjoy some local fare at the neighborhood's popular restaurants and cafes. Bridgette did a great job keeping us entertained and well fed!

San Francisco Bay Sunset Catamaran Cruise

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: San Francisco, California

My Review: This cruise was a great way to start the evening! It was the perfect weather to be out on the water and do some sightseeing from the bay. After visiting with the sealions on Pier 39, we raised our sail and set out on the cruise, passing close to Alcatraz then under the Golden Gate Bridge for breathtaking views. The wine and appetizers were a nice touch too. I liked the laid back atmosphere that allowed guests to chat and ask the captain questions. And the grand finale - the sunset - was spectacular! Be sure to bring your camera!

Phoenix Hot Air Balloon Ride

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

My Review: Everything went perfectly on this trip. We were picked up at our hotel, went to the launch location and watched in awe as a dozen balloons lifted off into the sky. Our expert pilot guided us safely over the mountain ranges and we landed very smoothly. After landing, we had a champagne toast, and a snack of quiche, chocolate croissant and fruit, we were taken back to our hotel. We all had an awesome time.

Hummer Night Tour in the Sonoran Desert

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

My Review: We thoroughly enjoyed our night tour. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to the desert for our extreme adventure. There were times I was a little nervous, but our guide was amazing at navigating the flora in the desert as well as the cliffs, all while giving us expert narration. And the sunset was absolutely amazing!

Grand Canyon Railway Adventure Package

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Williams, Arizona

My Review: I’m so glad our family took this trip. This has to be the most relaxing way to get to the Grand Canyon National Park. The ride was at a very casual pace – not rushed at all! The tour at the rim was great – all a very smooth transition from one thing to the next. We had ample time at each lookout point, and plenty of free time at the main depot area before boarding the train for the ride back to Williams. Highly recommend to anyone!

Phoenix Shooting Range: Firearms Course & Firing Line Shooting

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

My Review: You know you’re working with a professional when they tell you if they have to remind you twice – you’re off the line! The instructor won’t tolerate anyone messing around and rightly so. Guns are weapons and this tour teaches you how to use them properly and more importantly, safely. And what better place to do it than in the desert amongst amazing views. You shoot at targets, and the area is cleaned up after you’re done, so no harm is being done to the surrounds. I would highly recommend this tour.

Sonoran Desert Tomcar Tour

Tour / Activity

My Rating: 5 star rating: Highly Recommended

Location: Phoenix, Arizona

My Review: Loved it! What can I say? The guide was awesome and really knew his stuff – everything from the trails to the desert plant life and wildlife. We chose to add on the firearms option and I have to say – our instructor totally had safety on his mind. He was a former soldier and sniper, so we knew we were getting expert guidance and we even got to keep our targets. The environment is extremely important to these guys and they make sure it’s looked after. That’s important to me too, so I am more than happy to recommend this to anyone going to Phoenix.
