Our "guide" was irritating. During the boat ride she spoke in a screechy, rapid-fire voice over the speaker system and she was impossible to understand. We couldn't wait for her to stop talking. She did not leave the boat in Murano or Torcello. We didn't need a guide in Murano, but we would have appreciated a guide at Torcello to help us understand what we were seeing on our brief visit.

This tour is listed as "Venice Walking Tour with Doges Palace". That title is very misleading. It is NOT a walking tour but rather a tour of ONLY the Doges Palace. We really were not interested in that intensive a tour of the Palace and would have enjoyed having someone tell us (and show us) more of Venice.

The gondola ride was fun, but we did not like having to link up with four other gondolas in order to hear someone sing a couple songs. Much too touristy. Get a recording....it would be better.

We enjoyed this boat ride, but it was supposed to last one hour and ten minutes. We were returned to the dock after 45 minutes.
