San Diego Zoo with Transport
Tour / Activity
Location: Los Angeles, California
My Review: Before I get to the actual zoo, I would like to offer a bit of advice. You get picked up and taken to a depot for the actual bus. Our hotel was in Anaheim, 10mins walk from Disney. We were told we'd get picked up at about 8.30am... for the bus to take us a 2min drive which we could have walked in 5mins... and had a bit of a lie in as well. haha. So my advice is to double check when you phone to confirm your booking is to check with them how far away from, might save you hanging about for no reason. Now to the zoo... it's only an hour and a half from Anaheim and the driver give some good info and also clear info on pick up times etc. The zoo itself is amazing and I'd recommend that you take the tour bus when you get in, you get to see most of the zoo and gives you time to visit the parts of the zoo you really want to see. Basically, it makes sure that you get to see pretty much everything. Highly recommend this trip, gives you the opportunity get up close to some fascinating species in environments where you get a clear view without bars in the way, plus you're supporting the great conservation projects the zoo is involved with -

Grand Canyon West Rim Day Trip by Tour Trekker
Tour / Activity
Location: Las Vegas, Nevada
My Review: Highly recommend this tour, its more personal than going on a bus full of another 50 people. Each jeep holds 10, so you can get to have a chat with your guide without having to wait til everyone else is out the way! It is a long day and hot, however the jeep is air conditioned and theres plenty of ice cold water provided as well. The best part of the trip isn't when you first get to the, even though it is mind blowing when you first see it... it's the second part where you go to part of the canyon where there is no rails or barriers. This is both awe-inspiring and terrifying! haha. If you're a bit dodgy with heights, this might not be the trip for you... even if you think you're fine with heights it might change your mind! haha This is well worth the money, however, I wouldn't recommend this if you have kids. Purely because of the no barriers aspect.
