Had to arrange everything one day in advance myself through South Sinai Travel (Viator's affiliate in Egypt), but once that was accomplished, I received excellent service and the driver and guides were extremely accommodating. I was only left wondering whether things would have been cheaper if I'd booked with South Sinai directly, but I'll know that for next time.

It's unfortunate there aren't better public transport connections between Neuschwanstein and Linderhof, otherwise I would have gladly avoided this tour entirely. Several hours on a double-decker bus with about 70 loud tourists is hardly my idea of a good time. The tour was as described, and our guide was efficient and professional. However, anyone with half a brain would know that buying a Mehrtagesticket for 20 euros valid for all Bavarian palaces for two weeks is a better value than paying our tour guide 17 euros just to walk a few metres from the bus and buy our tickets for us for the two palaces on this tour. When I asked our guide about the Mehrtagesticket, he lied and said that it could only be purchased at the Munich tourist information office. Wrong. I bought mine the next day at another palace. Bad form. Time constraints weren't a factor either, as there was no one at all in the ticket queue at the first palace Linderhof when we arrived. So, in short if you intend to see more palaces in Bavaria than just these two, buy your Mehrtagesticket in advance at the Residenz in Munich, for example. Also, unless you like large groups of tourists, or are one yourself, only go on this tour if your itinerary doesn't allow enough time to devote one day to each of these palaces individually. The tour is a bit over-priced for what it is, and Neuschwanstein is quite honestly a bit of a letdown anyway, as it's so over-run with tourists that by the time you finally get inside to see the few rooms that were finished before Ludwig II died, you almost wonder what all the fuss was about.
