My Review: Lindeth Howe Country Hotel was a wonderful place to stay, fantastic service with a smile, excellent food and beautiful rooms. I wouldn't really call it a 3 day tour since there is really only one day of actual tour with 2 nights accomodation but the one day Lakes tour was lovely. Mountain Goat are excellent tour guides and I would be more than happy to do another tour with them. Best advice to give you is to confirm a pick up time before you arrive as there isn't really an official pick up place and time. Also, on your first day, leave enough time to walk to Bowness and go to the World of Beatrix Potter and a Windermere Lake cruise to Ambleside.

Oxford, Cotswolds, Stratford-on-Avon and Warwick Castle Day Trip from London

My Review: The tour itself was well run and enjoyable but I was a little disappointed with Oxford and Stratford. We didn't get to see much of the inside of buildings in Oxford as it was still term time and there was also a wedding in Christchurch chapel and there is so little spare time on the tour. Stratford-on-Avon has been completely commercialised and William Shakespeare's house seems very unauthentic these days, though it is a pretty little town. The highlight of the tour had to Warwick Castle and I would happily spend the whole day there. A walk up the ramparts is a must with views for many miles. Madame Tausauds has filled the place with wax figures, so the castle has a bit of a theme park feel to it but I didn't think it did the place any harm.

My Review: The best way to see London in a short amount of time. The Thames cruise to Greenwich and the walk to Greenwich Observatory is a must. The commentary on the bus was excellent and I worked out all the places I wanted to visit in depth from this tour.
