Great Barrier Reef Diving and Snorkeling Cruise from Cairns

Cairns, Australia

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

We were able to walk to the pier check in building, so we checked in around 8am. We boarded the boat, and then were off promptly at 8:30am. Crew were nice, and organized. We had a group of 5, including a younger child. During the ride out, we were given our equipment, along with stinger suits/wet suits - extra $. They versed us as to what we needed to know for snorkeling, and those that were diving were in a different group. Safety for all was on their mind the whole time. The snorkeling obviously was the best, and I don't think it matters where you are on the reef, you'll be thrilled at what you see. My husband, and a few others even saw a shark while snorkeling. I will never forget this wonderful part of our trip.

This is well worth your time in Rome. As our cab drove us to the drop off point, we arrived at 9am, and weren't the first ones there, the entrance line for those not on a tour and without tickets had already snaked around the corner and was several people thick. The tour guides arrived right on time, and groups of 20 or less were assigned a guide, and headed to the entrance. We did not have to wait to get in. Once everyone went thru security, our tickets were handed out to us, and we were on our way. The Vatican gardens were first, and very beautiful. Then we took a bathroom break, and proceeded thru the museums. Last, was the Sistine Chapel, we had 20 minutes, and then we were guided over to St. Peter's. We were hungry for lunch, but stayed and finished St. Peter's since our kids didnt want to walk back across the square after lunch. The only place you need your shouldersknees covered is St. Peter's.

Pompeii Day Trip from Rome

Rome, Italy

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review
We are a family of 5, the youngest is 10, we all enjoyed this trip very much. I would have to say that our tour guide and our bus driver made this drive up Mt. Vesuvius, and especially down, one of the trips highlights. We all made the hike up to the top of the crater, and enjoyed our frozen ices back at the entrance. Our lunch stop was well timed, and relaxing. Our guide at Pompeii told us just the right amount of info, so as to keep us moving along, especially during the heat wave this July. There was plenty of time for photos at both Mt. Vesuvius and Pompeii. We enjoyed browsing the gifts shops and frozen slushies as we gathered for the bus ride back to Rome.
