Shakespeare's Globe Theatre Tour and Exhibition
London, United Kingdom
My Rating

Even though I knew quite a bit about Shakespeare and how his plays were staged, it is still worth a visit and tour of the Globe Theatre. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and were able to elaborate on information I knew, as well as correct information I was previously taught. Very informative!

Terry was an absolutely fantastic guide! As there were only 4 of us on the tour, it was at a nice leisurely pace with even a coffee break built in halfway! We learnt a lot about the history, politics, and culture of Amsterdam. We saw many sights and also learned a lot! Terry was very informative and funny, and a great story teller! I would highly recommended WOW Tours to anyone visiting Amsterdam!

Kutna Hora Day Trip from Prague
Prague, Czech Republic
My Rating

We were dismayed to find out this tour was with the tour operator we had gone on a One Day Sightseeing Tour of Prague with and who treated us awfully. Once again, we left 1/2 hour late, as the bus was late picking up some teenagers from a hotel. While we waited, several people asked where the bus was and they didn't seem to have a clue where or how long it would be when it arrived. Unfortunately, we had the same tour guide as our One Day Tour, Georgina, whose English is completely incomprehensible. She rushed us through all the sites and left places even when she knew people were in the washroom or the group of teenagers were still inside an attraction. She again ignored the questions I asked of her or answers I offered when she asked the group questions (I guess she doesn't like Canadians).

Prague in One Day Sightseeing Tour

I would advise everyone to stay away from this company! Our "supposedly" English speaking guide was completely incomprehensible. They whiz by pretty much everything and only stop at Prague Castle. Although she asks if people have questions, she ignored every question I had for her and focused only on the 1 German, and 6 American tourists (we're from Canada). Then when we got to Prague Castle, she had the gall to ask if I would be able to do the 1 1/2 hour walk when I got off the bus because I wear leg braces. Least to say, I had no problems with the walk, however, an elderly couple from the USA were constantly lagging behind and having trouble with the stairs and steep paths, but she never dared to insinuate to them that they might have problems with the walk. I was not impressed with her tact (insinuating I couldn't do a 1 1/2 hour walk and ignoring every question I asked her about Prague) or her English. Also, the tour started 20 minutes late because she was waiting for 8 people who hadn't shown up (and never did), as well as 1 of the Americans who decided to leave the bus even though we were 15 minutes late to use the washroom.

Aran Islands Scenic Flight and Galway Tour from Dublin
Dublin, Ireland
My Rating

This is less of a tour and more like organized transportation. They basically load you onto a train (there is no "hosted train travel"), then in Galway lead you to a bus that drives you to an airport, load you on a plane, and then onto another bus, which drives you around Inis Mor where a driver sort of kinda tells you about Inis Mor. BTW-those incapable of climbing mountains need not apply as the "walk" to Dun Aengus fort is more of a 15 minute walk uphill on gravel roads then a 15 minute climb up slippery, uneven rocks on a steep hill. You get about 2 hours there but if you're slow, you'll need almost the whole time to get up there and won't get much if any time to eat. We also didn't have any time in Galway, about 15 minutes, not the hour they tell you, so definitely not enough time to explore and shop. Overall, we felt mislead, and the day didn't start off very well with the supposed "guide" of the trip spilling a whole cup of tea on my husband, who wound up with soaking wet pants and our backpack of supplies soaking wet as well. Speaking with others on the trip on the way home on the train, we all felt that we didn't receive what we were promised. Skip this tour and just head over to Galway on your own, you'll have a better time and probably save some money.

Dublin Historical Walking Tour including Trinity College

My Rating

Our guide was very knowledgable, enthusiastic, and humorous. Do note that this is not a sight seeing tour, so if that's what you are looking for you should find something else. You will however walk away with a very thorough understanding of Dublin's political history and some interesting facts that you can share with your friends. Both educational and entertaining, I would recommend this tour to others!

Leeds Castle, Canterbury Cathedral and Dover

We enjoyed our tour with Evans Evans tours, as we had taken a previous tour and again this guide was knowledgable, and humorous, and very thorough about ensuring people knew where to find restrooms, coffee, tea, and food, as well as what time and where to meet the bus. We never felt rushed and had lots of time to see both the attractions and the town. Again, the only reason I would not give a 5 star review is that the guide spoke far too much because after a while, you just don't want to hear running commentary about what you are seeing when the countryside whizzes by you.

Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and Bath Day Trip from London
London, United Kingdom
My Rating

Although it was a long day, I would hesitate to recommend an Evans Evans tour to anyone. The guide was incredibly knowledgable and humorous as well. We had plenty of time to see Stonehenge, Windsor Castle and the Roman Baths, as well as time to wander around Bath. We never felt rushed, and the guide always let us know right at the beginning where the washrooms were and where we could find coffee and food. The only thing preventing me from giving a complete 5 stars is that the guide perhaps talked a bit too much. There was literally non stop commentary on the drive out to Windsor, Bath and Stonehenge, which was a bit too much after a while.
