Do this trip on your own! We arrived at the meeting point, had to stand in line at the ticket office to get our tickets to board a boat with 50 others.(tickets on your own 20euro/pp) The boat is very loud and there is no way to understand a word the overhead announcer is saying nor to see any sights amongst all the people. We were given no instructions once leaving the boat only as to what time to reboard. Would much rather had a private boat and tour guide (which is what I thought I was booking) The islands of Murano and Burano are amazing,

I completely loved this tour. Rocella was our guide and she was enlightening and entertaining. So glad we did this tour upon arriving in Florence on our first full day. The group was small and I had no trouble understanding our guide. She was happy to answer many questions. Our afternoon guide whos name I didnt get was so very funny and made The Uffizi come alive in a way I hadnt expected.

If you want to go to the Borghese and don't have enough days in advance to book your tickets when in Rome, book this skip the line. We were met outside with the Viator rep with our tickets and the exact time stated. We walked right in, spent $6 each for the hand held tour radios and we were off to explore on our on. We visited on Sunday and at the time folks were in line to prebook for Tuesday.

This was a blast for my husband and boys age 14 and 11. The school is located on the Appian Way. Get directions before trying to navigate on your own! The first 30 minutes the instructor gave information about the history of gladiators and was delighted to answer all questions. The participants were able to try on different bits of the armor and helmets. Then came the fun... training and fighting using first wooden weapons then on to the real thing!! There were only 4 participants so it was a real "hands on " experience. We booked the last evening time slot.
