Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague

Prague, Czech Republic

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

Making the trip to the concentration camp was worthwhile, and it was particularly good to go on an organised tour, as the camp was spread out.
The tour however was a bit disappointing. We thought we were going with one company (which I researched and had good reviews), but we were transferred to the other main company (that didn't get as good reviews). The tour guide, Petra, did not give us much information on the 50 minute drive. And in each of the sites, she did not give much information. The tour at the small fortress / prison was done by the site and was extremely good. We needed more time at the museum (only given 30 mins).
Definitely visit the concentration camp. Just maybe don't do it using this tour?

Kuala Lumpur City Highlights Morning Tour

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

Overall glad I did it, but couldn't rave about the tour.
I ended up in a car with myself and another couple. Therefore a personal tour. The driver was knowledgable, but didn't show us around the actual sites - stayed with the car whenever he dropped us off. It was a good way to get access to the sites, as walking wouldn't have been easy.
Driver was 50 mins late picking me up, because the other couple were late, but not not call my hotel to advise. Then ran late all day and didn't finish till almost 3, which interfered with other plans. Also, had to pay 5MYR to get into museum, though all meant to be included.

Batu Caves and Temple Tour from Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

Julie was an excellent guide. Lots of knowledge, friendly, accomodating. Gave us heaps of info about the country, demographics, city etc.

Easy way to get to Batu caves and back. If you want to do the natural caves to the left of the temples, don't do the tour, as there is no time. Batu caves are huge, the temples surprisingly small - worth seeing.

The batik centre was good. Prices were on par or better than in KL itself and the quality was better.

Julie also stopped off at Little India which was a bonus and interesting.
