My Recommendation Tip
The palace and grounds are stunning, however if you are not there by 9am then be prepared to queue. It can take up to 2 hours and some people will try to jump in. It is worth every penny. The train line into Versailles and the walk through the market is a great introduction to the area, but do not dawdle if you want to see the 11am water show. If you miss this then spend time walking all the gardens and enjoy lunch in one of the restaurants.

It was ok, but I know Paris well. Without the benefit of night lights a twilight trip is not quite as exciting, the meal was ok
