The pros: tour guide Garai is thorough, fluent in english, well-prepared for his descriptions. Timing was down pat, as all the main points on the itinerary were hit: transporter bridge, Castle Butron, San Juan hermitage, Bermeo lunch, Guernika's oak tree - you did get to check off all those off your list. As far as a nice drive through the countryside, it works - it's green, and pretty as you drive along, but note, not particularly 'along the coast'.
The cons: no major complaints, but lunch stop was very short - just enough for a quick pintxo if you wanted to also walk for 15 minutes or so. (That said, there isn't much to see in Bermeo other than the busy colorful port exists).
Overall: a pleasant 5 hours, nice to get out of the city for a bit.

Tomasz is an excellent guide; highly recommend this on your first night in SS (as we did), to get a sense of SS's history and your pintxos bearings. Tomasz really does a great job of going beyond just a food tour, and takes care to relate some history and color commentary along the way to fill out the three hours; he has planned it well. Our tour was private, as we were the only bookings that evening, but I met someone else the next night who also went on his tour, and had a group of 11 - so, the personalization we felt may certainly be subject to group size. There's another pintxo tour available - with more bar stops I think, but that sounds more hectic and rush; Tomasz's is a good pace and takes you out of Old Town.
Really glad we did this tour; Girona was a nice surprise as a cute, quaint medieval town and the Dali museum was definitely a highlight of something different. The museum is the draw for this tour - and well worth it if you like his style - but there isn't much else to say about the town of Figueres. Which is why I suppose tour operators package in a stop to Girona along the way - but it would be a worthwhile stop in its own right. Lots of interesting history and architecture and cute corners along the walking tour. My only complaint is that the lunch stop was rushed; wished I had a half hour more to enjoy a more leisurely lunch before heading to Figueres. But overall recommended.
This was fun, but here's my take: Tour description didn't exactly match. Viator's rep picked us up on time, and was profess'l and friendly. Dropped us off at port, handing us off to the actual boat tour operators. Tour was listed as 9am-1pm (approx 4hrs) but was actually 9am-2:15 door to door in Miraflores, could easily have been longer if boat ran late, people swam more, hotel was farther etc. It's really a tour to go see sea lions w/ oppty to get into water with them - that was fun but unexpected. Yes, lots of birds along the way, The boat tour operators were friendly and knew what they were doing. Would definitely recommend for nature lovers, boat trip fans, and those with true 1/2 day free. Also, 3 people on our boat ride got seasick even with medicine, so word of warning on that would be good. Again, enjoyed this for sure - just wasn't sure what we were exactly in for. Guests could probably save money by showing up to Callao directly at the booth for 10am ride, but transfer service is good for not having to deal with how to get a taxi back from Callao once done.
