Singapore by Night Tour with Dinner at Clarke Quay

My Review: This was a fun night with a nice group of people, good food at Clarke Quay and then good music while one savoured a Singapore Sling. However, we have done the tour before the renovations and additions were done to the hotel which added the Long Bar. The plate of peanuts which everyone is given and which it is expected that people will throw the shells on the floor I find, frankly, disgusting! We did this tour before a few years ago and had our Singapore Sling in the now called "Tiffin bar" and it was classy and nice. Still worth doing for the price but I think that the historic Tiffin bar and the class that was there was preferable to this "new deal". The band was great though.

My Review: Well researched with a guide who had good English, we enjoyed this most inexpensive tour which shows the horrors of the treatment of the Australians and Indians and locals at the hands of the Japanese in the second world war. Worthwhile.

Amsterdam Canals Candlelight Cruise

My Review: Unfortunately, we were totally exhausted and it was an awful night so we did not do this tour this time. However, we have done it before and really loved it. Would recommend it as a way to enjoy the canals of Amsterdam at night which is really pretty.

Seine River Cruise and Paris Canals Tour

My Review: This tour gave me a different perspective of Paris which I enjoyed. However, it is necessarily slow because of going through lochs and it would have been nice to have been able to buy a glass of wine and a nibblie on board while one was there to savour it in a nicer way. For the price, I think it is worthwhile and for someone like me who loves Paris it just gives a better perspective of the place overall.

My Review: Such a pleasant afternoon and a great feeling being entertained by the "Count" and his devoted dog!! Loved this "hands on" style of tour with the people who are doing the work participating. Love Bordeaux!!

Brisbane Airport Roundtrip Shuttle Transfer

My Review: My experience was not a good one. On arriving at the airport I went to the ticket office and showed my ticket. It was approximately 1.50pm and was told that the next shuttle was at 2.20pm. There were a lot of people standing there and a bus was sitting in the bay with the driver in it. At 2.20pm he got out of the bus and started to take bags on board. We left at approximately 2.40pm. It was a slow trip and I arrived at my hotel well after 3pm. The trip back to the airport on the Sunday was much better. My friend had much the same experience and we both decided that we would catch the train in future!!

My Review: We were lucky to have a nice sunny day, and the whole tour was very worthwhile. Loved Beatrix Potter's house "Hilltop" and found the countryside enchanting. A lovely day.

My Review: We enjoyed the tour, which gave us an opportunity to appreciate the city in a very short time. Our only complaint was that the tour guide did not wait until the group was assembled to begin explaining each sight. If you were in the last group of ten off the bus at each stop you'd miss out on the talk.

My Review: This was a lovely experience, though if I did it again I would do it a little earlier in the year because the flowers had passed their "peak" by the time I took the tour. I would also have taken a longer tour so that it would have been more relaxing to move around and to have a unhurried lunch.
