The tour guide is a member of the vatican staff. He/she is not from dark tours. Our guide meant well but frankly I found the tour painful. The tour started at 3 and ended at 7pm and we did not see most of the museum. it was great to be in the chapel with only a few other people but i needed a beer after this one.

tour took from 830 to 2. saw lots of stuff. they do cover the boo/movie but mostly just the art is worth it. We did the tour on our first full day in rome. It was a good, get to know the city kind of tour and see some awesome art.
