Small-Group Vienna Highlights Walking Tour Including Coffee and Cake

Vienna, Austria

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

There were only 3 people on this English language tour so there were many opportunities to ask questions. Our tour guide was excellent. She detailed so much history of Vienna and there was so much passion for her city in the telling. She showed us many interesting sights and took us to places we would never have found on our own such as the Spanish horse school, St. Stephens Cathedral, the palace,Mozart's house with the only picture of him withouta wig. She also pointed out many examples of architecture. We all learned so much.

My Review

Ths was a great way to be introduced to Amsterdam and the canals. The first stop was the Anne Frank House and because it was at opening time we did not have a long wait. This was un unbelievable experience. We then went shopping at The Dam. We got back on the canal bus and got off at Rijksmuseum as my husband and I both like Rembrandt. We had lunch in the vicinity and then got back on the canal bus continuing to The Hermitage where the Van Gogh exhibit was. We love Van Gogh so enjoyed the tour(which was included in our pass. A successful day and a great way to see sights at your own pace.

Munich City Hop-on Hop-off Tour

Munich, Germany

My Rating
3 star rating: Worth doing

My Review

We were in Munich for only two days and so we found that the hop on and off was a good way to get an introduction to the city and the important sights. You have the opportunity to get off at stops and explore in more depth and buses regularly pass by to get on and continue the tour. A great idea for a short visit.

Bavarian Beer and Food Evening Tour in Munich

Munich, Germany

My Rating
5 star rating: Highly Recommended

My Review

The beginning of the tour was disconcerting as we were late but this soon changed as Kevin our guide was waiting for us with a glass of beer.We first went to a beer museum and brewery -Augustiner Braustaber where we got to sample 3 different beers and hear about the origin of beer and Oktoberfest.Kevin also gave us a lot of information. We then went to Hofbrauhaus where we had a delicious buffet consisting of cold meat, cheese, white sausage, pate, pretzel, rye bread and more beer. We experienced a real feel of the city of Munich and learned about the history of beer and Oktoberfest. We had a great guide-informative,inclusive,welcoming,a great sense of humour with great stories to tell. PROST.

My Review

I had not used Viator before but would certainly us of again. The tour guide we had was incredible. Not only did he have a great knowledge of the history of the area but was also an artist so he shared so much information about the artists who inhabited buildings in the area.We saw Moulin Rouge,Moulin de la Galette, cemetery,Sacre Coeur,Au Lapin Agile contrasting parts of Montmartre. The tour lasted 6 hrs. and we were physically and emotionally exhausted but learned so much. The guide was also helpful in helping us find our way home at the end of the tour. This was my best day in Paris.

Skip the Line: Paris Louvre Museum Guided Tour

Paris, France

My Rating
4 star rating: Recommended

My Review

On this visit to Paris and the Louvre we decided to use a guide instead of trying on our own to see the museum. It was certainly a good idea. The guide gave us the needed history of the Louvre and also directed us to the most important things to see in a short time. She was very knowledgeable and having the tour made such a difference in our appreciation of all that the museum has to offer. It would take at least 3 days to see the whole museum but I felt that we walked away with a good knowledge of the major art pieces.
