Mt Vesuvius and Pompeii Day Trip from Naples
Naples, Italy
My Rating

My Review
The tour of Pompeii was fun but I wish we had head sets so we could hear the tour guide while wandering around to explore. Lunch was not great... the pizza was not good. We expected much more from Naples. The ride up to Mt. Vesuvius was very windy, so if you suffer from car sickness, then you may have some trouble. I was unable to make it to the top of the volcano because my ears started really hurting from the altitude. But I heard from the others that it was very cool at the top. Though there are some improvements that could be made I would still recommend this tour.

My husband and I really enjoyed this walking tour. We had only seen the movie and even though the tour was based on the book it was still a lot of fun. The first part was on a bus and the last half was walking. The tour went from 9:30 to 3pm with just a snack, so I would suggest eating a large breakfast and bringing some snacks since you will be walking a fair amount. But the tour guides were very enthusiastic and had some really interesting history to teach us in addition to taking us to the different sites from the book. We would recommend this tour.

Our tour guide was amazing! I had been on a tour of the Vatican 3 years ago and this one blew that one away! She was able to provide some really interesting information while keeping the tour fun. We went on a Monday when other museums in Rome are closed, so the line into the Vatican was really long! I was so glad to have a tour where you can skip the line... made the day fun instead of getting bored and losing interest by waiting in a couple hour line.

Vespa Small Group Day Trip to the Chianti Wine Region

My Review
The vespa tour was a lot of fun. While learning how to drive the vespa I realized that I was not comfortable with my skill and did not want to drive it out on the real road. Fortunately the tour guide said I could ride on the back of his vespa. That made my day very relaxing because I got to enjoy the scenery without being scared of driving the vespa. My husband was able to drive the vespa with no problem however. The other women on the trip were able to do it but they also had more recent experience with a regular bike. I have not been on a bike since I was in 5th grade (over 15 years ago), so just because I wasn't able to do it does not mean much.
The tour of the winery was great and lunch was very delicious. The wine tasting was very nice too and was definitely not enough wine to impair your driving ability on the way back.
All in all it was a great tour and I would definitely suggest doing it!
