The tour was enjoyable although there were over 50 people which made it difficult to hear the guide at times and the tour slow. The guide was very knowledgeable although a little difficult to understand at first.

This was a superb tour and the guide, Mario, was one of the best we've ever had. Mario was not only extremely knowledgeable about art and history, he was passionate about his subject and that came through on the tour. Although I already knew a fair bit about the history of renaissance art, I still learned a lot from the tour. I have already recommended the tour to a number of people and, in particular, I have strongly recommended Mario, our guide. The next day we returned to the Uffizi to spend more time with the art works and consider what Mario told us about the development of art from the 13th to the 16th centuries as depicted in the Uffizi's collection.
