our Hoover Dam tour was very good indeed. We we're picked up at our hotel ( Monte Carlo) a little bit late but this was the fault of a guest from another hotel that missed their pick up time. Our guide was Jodie who kept us entertained on the journey with great info on Nevada,Las Vegas and The Dam. We got a view of the dam from the Pat Tillman bridge which was brief but a really good way to see how big it is! Jodie gave us a walking tour over the Dam and gave us all the information we could need about the Dam and a few local bits and pieces too! The government tour was brief but well organised although having to have all your belongings scanned was time consuming. Lunch was fantastic ! We were expecting a packed lunch but we were taken to a fabulous diner where we could choose from a menu -the pulled pork was amazing!! Our final stop was at the M and M's factory which had fabulous chocolate and M and M's everywhere!! All in all it was a great tour and we were back at our hotel by 3pm...

Our pick up at our hotel was prompt and we were soon on our way to the Colorado River. Our guide for the trip was Dennis who was such a nice guy and what he didnt know about the river/dam/grand canyon wasnt worth knowing! after a brief and amusing safety talk we were on our way down the Colorado. the raft was big, safe and pretty comfortable and is in no way dangerous so its ideal for kids and older people. If you sit at the front of the raft theres a good chance youll get wet...and as it was very sunny (85f) we sat right there and although we did get soaked it was refreshing and an hour later we were dry!! We had our packed lunch at a little beach on the river, caught some sun (there is virtually no shade on this tour) and paddled in the very cold water! a great tour and a great guide too.
