Wilsons Promontory Day Trip from Melbourne
Melbourne, Australia
My Rating

This was a great trip. There were wild animals all over including emus, a wombat and a wallaby. "The Prom" is a really interesting place with recent fire and flood damage. We walked up Mt Bishop with fantastic views and then Squeeky Beach which was breathtaking with clear sea and white sand. Make sure you bring a raincoat as the weather changes very quickly there.

Phillip Island Little Penguins Parade Evening Tour
Melbourne, Australia
My Rating

This trip is a must! It doesn't matter which seats you buy, you get very close to the penguins once they have come up the beach. It's really nice to watch the penguins finding their nests when they return and it's very magical to see so many. The trip does run til quite late. We returned to Melbourne at 11pm. Do telephone the tour operator before pick up as my time was later than the voucher said.

Puffing Billy Steam Train, Yarra Valley and Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary Day Tour
Melbourne, Australia
My Rating

Our tour guide for this trip was great. Very informative, friendly and helpful. Tea and cake before Puffing Billy was really nice and there are cockatoos to feed (caution advised!). Puffing Billy was good. The lunch at the winery was really good as was the wine. I thought there would be wine tasting, but it seemed you only tasted wine you might like to buy. There was the option to visit more wineries or Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary. This was a guided tour by a keeper which was made it very interesting and the birds of prey show was great. Really enjoyed this trip.

Tangalooma Resort Moreton Island Day Cruise with Optional Dolphin Feeding
Brisbane or Gold Coast, Australia
My Rating

Tangalooma is beautiful with its clear sea and white sandy beach. The ride over on the ferry was great and we saw some whales and dolphins too. The activities are well arranged so you know exactly what you're doing and at what time. If you want free time on the island then this trip doesn't really allow for that. I did the dolphin feeding. Remember the dolphins are wild, so no touching and it may not be quite what you imagine. You do get close and the dolphin takes the food from your hand. If you don't want to pay for the dolphin feeding you can still get great views of them all from the jetty. The only let down for me was the sand boarding. I would rather have spent some more free time on the beach.

Springbrook National Park Discovery Full-Day Bushwalk including Glow Worm Tour
Brisbane or Gold Coast, Australia
My Rating

This was a great way to see Queensland. Springbrook National Park Is beautiful and the bush walks were great. We saw rainforest and waterfalls as well as fantastic views. We also had a fantastic guide who was very knowledgable about the area. The only thing that let this trip down was the very long journey from Brisbane along the Gold Coast to pick up others and the glow worms were a let down. However, the parrot feeding more than made up for this!
