New York TV and Movie Sites Tour

My Review: An interesting tour, which could also double up as a New York sightseeing tour because you get to pass from so many New York landmarks. The guide, was delightful and very good at her job. You get to visit some areas of Manhattan that are slightly off the tourist path Chelsea, Meat Packing District, TriBeCa, but sadly there was no Upper East Side or Upper West Side. As we made only four stops, a lot of locations were only seen from the coach. You will have to come back another day to see them close up! Some of the stops were better than others. The Friends apartment and the Cosby Show house seem justifiable but I am not sure about the rice pudding shop. I would suggest that this is changed to a full day tour with more stops and more film locations.

Washington DC Day Trip from New York

My Review: This tour was a basic introduction to Washington DC, in the sense that you visit Capitol Hill, the White House, the Air and Space Museum and the three Memorials, Lincoln, Korea, Vietnam all in the space of 4 hours. However, if you want an extended stay at each location or to visit more obscure locations, this is not the tour for you. We only had about one hour at the Air and Space Museum - and that included lunch - which was clearly inadequate. Also, we never visited Arlington Memorial even though it was only a short drive away. The guide was adequate, although not referring to Martin Luther King's 'I have a dream' speech when we visited Lincoln Memorial was a glaring omission. The coach was comfortable. Also be prepared for a 4.5 hour drive each way.

New York Hip-Hop Tour

My Review: This was an excellent tour, even for someone with only a passing interest in hip-hop. Grandmaster Caz was a very engaging tour guide. The Graffiti Wall of Fame in Spanish Harlem was an awesome first stop. Also visited a number of noteworthy locations in Harlem. The soul food lunch was delicious. Also visited the Bronx to see the location of the first ever hip hop party. The only disappointment for me was that we did not spend longer in the Bronx!
